My fitness journey started while in college. I played football at the University of Wyoming and was honored to hold the title of team captain. Throughout my four years there, I realized that I had a deep passion not just for sports, but also for health and fitness. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion. After my playing career, I was on the strength and conditioning staff at the University of Wyoming before moving to Seattle and joining Fitness Together. Although I believe that no results can be achieved without hard work, I am also a strong advocate that physical exercise should be rewarding and fun. I like to adjust my daily routines for clients based not just on their physical goals, but also on what makes them feel comfortable. For this reason, I am able to help train people of all ages, abilities, and lifestyles. Fitness Together team member since 2010. Covid Vaccine shot 1 finished

I've competed in 13 natural bodybuilding contests over the years, and take my personal health and fitness very seriously. I enjoy all aspects of health and fitness, working with any and all populations is one of my biggest passions. I love teaching others how to properly exercise - I have (and still do) taught weight training classes and the related at North Seattle College for the last 14 years. No matter your experience or goals, I'm confident I can help you!

Movement and physical activity has always been a big part of my life. Learning the benefits of supervised, consistent exercise on the body really motivated me to encourage people to develop an active lifestyle. I started working as a personal trainer during the completion of my Masters Degree. Having a broad knowledge of exercise prescription for sub-acute injury, chronic disease or disability has equipped me to serve a wide range of clientele. Empowering people to change their lifestyle and move without limits is my passion and I hope to continue for many more years. Covis Vaccine shot 1 Finished

My passion for fitness and body mechanics started at the age of 10, when surgery forced me to reteach myself how to walk. The lasting impacts of altered body mechanics really became apparent in my 20s when I discovered a love for combat sports, including Muay Thai and Filipino Martial Arts. Learning the correct movement patterns for these arts improved my movement in everyday life, and kicked off a career shift into personal training and corrective exercise. I love that this background has given me deep insight into client needs from the athlete to someone wanting to walk up the stairs easier. I have experienced the inability to walk and the ability to walk into a cage to fight. I want to help others push their boundaries for a better quality of life. Covid Vaccine shot 1 finished

I like to stay active outside of the gym. Muay Thai and Filipino Martial Arts are been important to me and I am continually improving. I also really enjoy connecting with nature, hiking and camping in the Pacific Northwest. I haven’t had to kickbox any bears yet, and let’s hope it stays that way! If I do have to stay home, however, I let my inner-nerd out to play Dungeons & Dragons, or other fantasy tabletop game. At least I can still adventure and fight, even if it is imaginary.

Growing up an athlete, I learned a lot about movement and conditioning. I am very competitive. I love helping other people feel stronger and move better. Prioritizing health through strength training is the best self investment I have made. It continues to benefit me not only physically but mentally. I have worked with all type of clients. With every client, I learn about their strengths and weaknesses. Then I lead them through workouts to improve their strengths and overcome their weaknesses. I love working at Fitness Together because all the trainers are focused on improving the lives of their clients not only physically but mentally.

In my free time I like to be outside. I spend a majority of my time hiking or running. I ran my first marathon in 2020, and I am training for another one in 2021. I still love rowing from time to time as well. When I am not outside doing something, I knit or crochet. I also have a cat named Keys and he keeps me entertained.
