I'm a long-time Fitness Together Belmont client and consider the cost an investment in my health.  Here's why:

Weight loss:  I've lost 45 pounds as a client at  FT Belmont and most importantly I've kept it off for almost 2 years.*  This is the first time in my life that I have been able to maintain a significant weight loss for more than 6 or 8 months.

Running: I’ve never been a runner or an athlete.  Because of the support I receive from the trainers at Fitness Together, I am now a runner.  I did my first 5k in June 2012 with FT and have done 12 more since.  I completed the Tufts 10k for women in 2012 and 2013.

Yoga: FT doesn't specifically focus on teaching yoga.  A couple of the trainers were worried that I wasn't doing enough post-run stretching, resulting in a loss of flexibility and knee soreness. At their recommendation, I am now incorporating yoga into my schedule and can really feel the difference.  I love that the trainers at Fitness Together make recommendations that help me and my overall health!

I do 3 small group Pack training sessions each week and have a blast!  The trainers are knowledgeable and know when and how to challenge me.  When the little voice in my head tells me that something is too hard or that I am too tired, the trainer's voice is the one I listen to and keep on working.  The trainers can modify exercises to make them a bit easier or more challenging based on the individual needs of the clients - this is not a cookie-cutter kind of a workout!

The atmosphere of the studio is very supportive. The trainers support the clients, and the clients support one another.  FT Belmont a great place to work-out!

    Wayland

Fitness Together in Wayland has been my "gym" for several years. The workouts are tailored to my needs and have helped me build stamina, strength and flexibility. After I injured myself on vacation, my trainer helped me recover from the injury with patience and skill, and helped me develop muscles in order to prevent further problems in the future.*

To Paul, Paula, PJ, Joe, Amy, Molly, Brian, and Caitlin,

I would like to thank you for always challenging me and your never ending support. You always expecting me to do more at each session and push me to do more cardio. It does work. The nutrition program along with the handouts gives us all good information and recipes to try at home.

Before I came to Fitness Together I had never done weight training before. Since I’ve been here and started weight training people ask me all the time if I’ve lost weight and all of my clothes fit better! Not only do I get compliments from friends but my doctor has noticed a big difference too. I have type 2 Diabetes and since starting at Fitness Together my blood sugar has been under control and my doctor wants me to continue training here.*

I always look forward to all my sessions with Paul. His bright personality and wit along with his expertise in exercising has made me more fit and healthy, and I’m always happy while working with him. After doing one on one sessions I decided to join Dance PACK. Oh boy! It’s a great aerobic workout to music of the 50s and 60s which I love, and I thank Paula our trainer for these fun terrific group classes.

I was nervous to attend an Open House at FT but everyone was super friendly and I felt comfortable right away. The other clients are great and the studio has a family like atmosphere to it. All of the trainers and front desk staff are always happy and friendly.

Thank you all for the time and effort you put into these programs along with the healthy goodies you provide. I would recommend Fitness Together to anyone no matter how young or old you are. The staff is excellent and you will see the results quickly for all the hard work you put into your routines.

    I thank you.

My Fitness Together Membership Experience - Since January, 2013

Joining the Natick Fitness Together in January of 2013 has proven to be the best "investment" decision of my life!  This is NO exaggeration.

I had been a Size 8 for most of the adult life, but, shortly after turning 50, I quit smoking (March, 2003), developed hypothyroidism, endured menopause, and required a medication with the side effects of weight gain and weight retention.  I had been trying to lose weight since 2004.  I had tried two weight-loss programs, joined a fitness company for group exercising, and started walking daily.  I needed a program because I have zero self-discipline on my own!  I was quite unhappy that, in spite of all my efforts and cost, I did not lose weight.

For my 60th birthday, I had a big party, 22 adults and 8 children attending.  My friend took photographs and posted them on Facebook.  I was appalled by my appearance and told friends and family that I like elephants, but I don't want to look like one!  I was really desperate when I received a promotional offer in the mail from the Natick Fitness Together.  I decided to try the personal-trainer approach, just check it out.

I realized within days that this was going to be the answer to my prayers and we worked out the details.  I work out twice a week, eight times per month.  I walk about half a mile to the center of town (as I have no car) all year, having missed only one day due to weather conditions.  I am very dedicated about it.  I continued to consumed 1200-1500 calories per day, rarely feeling hungry.  As I say, this is an "investment" in your self!!

After my doctor weaned me off a medication during the summer of 2013, I finally started losing weight (in September).  As of this date (November, 2014), I have lost a total of 40 pounds!!*  MY self-confidence and overall physical/emotional well-being are great!  I feel wonderful and a goal-weight is now near in sight!  I do not want to be a Size 8 again, just healthier, fit and happier!

I send my sincere gratitude to Anthony, who was my trainer early in 2013 (no longer with Fitness Together), and to Roupen, who has worked with me for almost a year and a half, to date, and has been very conscientious and kind.

Thank you, Fitness Together, most sincerely, for all the good this "investment" has brought to me.  You have changed my life!  You are all changing people's lives and all of you should be very proud of this work!

Where to begin? They are just awesome. From the very first meeting with Josh, the owner to the last workout I had. Every experience here has been 5 stars. Josh has the best energy (you do, Josh). Not too pushy but so helpful and SUPER positive. It's like he's genuinely excited you're getting fit. :)  And it makes you WANT to get fit. The trainers are ALL great. Friendly, fun and all very knowledgeable and all very able to modify for whatever obstacles you have. Best of all: its nice and private, so if you're a little intimidated (like me) to workout at a gym in front of countless people, this is your place! Oh and honestly the prices are so reasonable. He is a 2014 graduate of the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI), holds a Russian Kettlebell Certification, and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).  A college professor of his stated, "structure dictates function".  He found this to be true while finding his own training philosophy. Proper form is essential before adding a load to any movement; thus, minimizing the risk of injury and the frustration it elicits.  Whether training a novice or a superior athlete there are a handful of fundamental human movements that when implemented into an appropriate program will improve strength levels and day to day quality of life.

Chris was involved in the competitive athletics of football, baseball, and basketball through college. However, after graduating he began working a construction job that involved a lot of travel, not sticking to an exercise program with any consistency, and adopting poor nutritional habits. Following 6 years of practicing these bad habits he ballooned up to 320lbs. Starting a family he realized a lifestyle change was essential to become the husband and father he wanted to be. He rededicated himself to fitness and nutrition, lost 80lbs thus far, and found his true passion in life. Now he wants to spread that passion to others as he has seen first hand the benefits it produces both physically and mentally.  Providing the tools and motivation on a client's journey of altering their lifestyle to achieve, and surpass, their goals is the ultimate reward as your trainer.

Realizing a career in the business world was not for me, I turned to my first love, fitness. At 16, I joined the gym and weight lifting became a huge part of my life. Going to the gym four days a week for over 10 years, I have seen a gradual yet steady change in my body. I enjoy learning new training techniques for myself as well as my clients to keep our workouts exciting, challenging, and fresh. I enjoy interacting with diverse clientele. I look forward to meeting with you and helping strive to meet your fitness goals!
