    As a busy medical professional with an uncertain schedule due to hospital call/work and not to mention the demands of three children and their schedules, I was uncertain whether joining Fitness Together Sudbury would be any different from the other failed gym memberships that had gone by the wayside due to time constraints. I was so pleasantly surprised however at how accommodating everyone at Fitness Together -Sudbury was to the variability in my schedule. This was the first membership where I actually saw positive results in strength, flexibility, and weigh loss.

    I happened to work with Chris, Justin, Kevin and Sarah because of my schedule, all of whom were excellent, positive and definitely encouraging. They made the workouts interesting and introduced exercises that made the most of my valuable time by working out different muscle groups at once as well as on the core abdominal group. Cardiovascular and stretching exercises were also an integral part of the workouts. I can not say enough about my experience thus far, but it's greatest strengths are the people that work there including Dawn and owner Josh who check in on you with follow up emails or calls.

I love going there and no matter how tired I may be going in, I look forward to feeling energized afterward.  The workouts have a great balance of strength and cardio and the routine is always different.     In my line of business I have received hundreds of letters either praising a customer experience or complaining about it. Never in my eighteen-year career, have I made the effort to write a letter to anyone about my own experience with a product or service, good or bad, until now.

    Two months ago when I walked into your Fitness Together location, I had no expectation of what would happen. The concept of one to one training appealed to me, as I have never been comfortable exercising in front of others. It is one of the main reasons why I didn't work out.  From the very first consultation to today, I have never felt anything but comfortable and at ease...no matter how hard I was worked. In that time, to lose 20 pounds, 4 inches off my waist and 6% body fat is amazing!* In all the years that I have attempted to diet or all the gyms I have belonged to, I have never been able to achieve such results.     Paula and Scott have been fantastic to work with. They have pushed, prodded and encouraged me each step of the way and have made my goals theirs-and a call from them checking up on my diet has made me sure never to cheat!   • Karina Johnson
    Certified Personal Trainer

    Karina has been training at Fitness Together since 2012.  She has held her certification through National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) since 2008.  Karina graduated from Colby College in 2005 with a degree in Art and French.  She ran Cross Country and Track, competing at the national level and serving as captain of the teams her senior year.  She continues to race post-collegiately with Battle Road Track Club, and considers the marathon her best event.  After spending several years coaching, Karina found herself gravitating toward the strength and conditioning aspect of coaching and pursued her certification through NASM.  She also enjoys cooking, baking, nutrition, and dancing. Working with clients of all ages, and pushing clients to achieve their goals and feel better in their daily activities is her favorite part of training.

    Hello! My name is Adam. Certified as a personal trainer since 2005, I have found my niche in the universe and love working with my clients each and every day. I joined the Fitness Together Natick team in 2007 and recently became the proud co-owner of the studio. In addition to my personal training certification, I am also a certified Lifestyle Fitness Coach, Secondary Post Rehabilitation Specialist, Sports Nutrition Specialist and recently, completed an introduction to MS (Multiple Sclerosis) for Fitness and Wellness Professionals in order to better assist clients battling the disease with their personal fitness goals.

    I truly enjoy coming to work everyday and value the personal relationships I have formed with my clients over the years. It was these important connections that inspired me to own the studio, and I am so excited for this next step in my career!

    Co- Owner/Manager

    Paula has been working with Fitness Together since 2005. She earned a B.S. in Exercise Science from Bridgewater State College. Paula started in the health and fitness industry in a Physical Therapy setting. She was responsible for helping clients with injuries or surgeries carry out the appropriate exercises given by the Physical Therapists. After gaining experience working with clients who have had everything from hip and knee replacements to shoulder injuries, Paula decided to pursue personal training. It was a good fit and she has been training now for the past 11 years. Being active is a very important part of Paula’s life. Paula enjoys many activities but the main one she loves is running. She has run over 6 marathons including Boston and NYC. One of her goals is to do some oversees marathons including Berlin and London.  Not only does she enjoy keeping herself active but loves to help improve the activity level of other people as well. Whether it’s teaching class or working one-on-one with clients here at Fitness Together, Paula does it all and has enjoyed every minute of it ….( well maybe not every minute of it but close). She loves working with people and wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • Kevin Cheng
    Assistant Manager

    A National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal fitness trainer, Kevin seeks to improve the quality of life of everyone he trains. Kevin, being a former Certified Nurse Aid and finishing up a program in therapeutic massage, has recognized the importance of exercise in helping with the prevention of disease and sustaining a better quality of daily life. Kevin believes in exercise and the intricate part it plays in preventative health care.

    He has had years of experience having participated in and trained for a variety of sports, both formally and informally, including basketball, soccer, football, tennis, tae kwon, and volleyball.

    Kevin has trained a variety of clients with different goals. These include clients rehabilitating from injury, serious athletes, and clients that simply want to look and feel better. All have benefited under the care of Kevin's training regimen.

    Personal Trainer

    Maria holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Finance from Boston University.  She worked in a corporate setting for many years before taking time off to raise her family.  Her passion for fitness and her love of helping others led her to pursue a career in Personal Training.  In the fall of 2011, Maria became a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).  

    Maria’s childhood was filled with activities, including gymnastics, diving and 13 years of dance.  She also played volleyball throughout high school and college.  As an adult and as a parent, maintaining--and modeling--a healthy and fit lifestyle took on new meaning.  As a Personal Trainer, she loves helping clients reap the many benefits of regular exercise.  Her upbeat attitude and ongoing encouragement keeps her clients focused and motivated.  When you’re ready to start working towards your goals, Maria will be right by your side, committed to your success!

    ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, TRX Certified

    Ashley graduated from Fitchburg State College with a BA in Exercise Science. Before becoming a personal trainer, she traveled to Costa Rica where she rode horseback around an active volcano and ziplined through the Rainforest. She also lived in San Francisco for one of her college summer internships.  Growing up Ashley played soccer and did gymnastics.  She is a bit obsessed with protein and loves weight lifting.  She is always experimenting with different forms of fitness. Her most recent adventures include P90X, Crossfit, and indoor floor hockey. She became a personal trainer because she wants to help others lead an active lifestyle. Ashley is passionate about her work and wants to share the benefits with as many people as possible. She knows that taking that initial step is not easy. Ashley loves working with all types of clients. She has a lot of energy…and if she can’t get you to enjoy your workouts, then no one can!

  • Brian Knowles
    Assistant Manager

    Brian graduated in the winter of 2008 from the University of Maine in Orono with a degree in business administration with a major in accounting. It did not take long for him to realize that his heart was not in it, so he did not pursue accounting. Instead he worked as a subcontractor in the Bar Harbor area while he figured out what he wanted to do with his life. After he completed a home fitness program and lost 30 pounds, it dawned on him that the fitness industry was for him. Shortly after deciding that a career in the fitness world was the way to go and he enrolled at the National Personal Training Institute. After a short stint as a personal trainer at Work Out World in Brockton, Brian was able to show his worth as a trainer and was hired at Fitness Together. He currently lives in Somerville.

    Brian has been involved in sports his entire life, from school teams to intramurals in college. He has experienced the benefits of physical activities and team work which has helped to shape his character. He enjoys playing all sports but his favorite is basketball. With a father who is a chiropractor and a mother who is a nurse, personal training seemed to be a natural fit.

    Hello, my name is Andrew Raneri and I have been a certified fitness trainer through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA) since 2007. I'm also an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B). To tell you a little bit about myself, I have been a resident of Natick my whole life. I am a 1998 Natick High graduate, and a 2003 Framingham State College graduate yielding a B.A. in Economics. Realizing a career in the business world was not for me, I turned to my first love, fitness. At 16, I joined the gym and weight lifting became a huge part of my life. Going to the gym four days a week for over 10 years, I have seen a gradual yet steady change in my body. I enjoy learning new training techniques for myself as well as my clients to keep our workouts exciting, challenging, and fresh. I enjoy interacting with diverse clientele.   • Maria McHugh
    Personal Trainer

    Maria holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Finance from Boston University.  She worked in a corporate setting for many years before taking time off to raise her family.  Her passion for fitness and her love of helping others led her to pursue a career in Personal Training.  In the fall of 2011, Maria became a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).  

    Maria’s childhood was filled with activities, including gymnastics, diving and 13 years of dance.  She also played volleyball throughout high school and college.  As an adult and as a parent, maintaining--and modeling--a healthy and fit lifestyle took on new meaning.  As a Personal Trainer, she loves helping clients reap the many benefits of regular exercise.  Her upbeat attitude and ongoing encouragement keeps her clients focused and motivated.  When you’re ready to start working towards your goals, Maria will be right by your side, committed to your success!

  • Ashley
    Owner and Operator/Personal Trainer/Protein Fanatic/Neat Freak

    ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, TRX Certified

    Ashley graduated from Fitchburg State College with a BA in Exercise Science. Before becoming a personal trainer, she traveled to Costa Rica where she rode horseback around an active volcano and ziplined through the Rainforest. She also lived in San Francisco for one of her college summer internships.  Growing up Ashley played soccer and did gymnastics.  She is a bit obsessed with protein and loves weight lifting.  She is always experimenting with different forms of fitness. Her most recent adventures include P90X, Crossfit, and indoor floor hockey. She became a personal trainer because she wants to help others lead an active lifestyle. Ashley is passionate about her work and wants to share the benefits with as many people as possible. She knows that taking that initial step is not easy. Ashley loves working with all types of clients. She has a lot of energy…and if she can’t get you to enjoy your workouts, then no one can!

  • Brian Knowles
    Assistant Manager

    Brian graduated in the winter of 2008 from the University of Maine in Orono with a degree in business administration with a major in accounting. It did not take long for him to realize that his heart was not in it, so he did not pursue accounting. Instead he worked as a subcontractor in the Bar Harbor area while he figured out what he wanted to do with his life. After he completed a home fitness program and lost 30 pounds, it dawned on him that the fitness industry was for him. Shortly after deciding that a career in the fitness world was the way to go and he enrolled at the National Personal Training Institute. After a short stint as a personal trainer at Work Out World in Brockton, Brian was able to show his worth as a trainer and was hired at Fitness Together. He currently lives in Somerville.

    Brian has been involved in sports his entire life, from school teams to intramurals in college. He has experienced the benefits of physical activities and team work which has helped to shape his character. He enjoys playing all sports but his favorite is basketball. With a father who is a chiropractor and a mother who is a nurse, personal training seemed to be a natural fit.

    Hello, my name is Andrew Raneri and I have been a certified fitness trainer through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA) since 2007. I'm also an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B). To tell you a little bit about myself, I have been a resident of Natick my whole life. I am a 1998 Natick High graduate, and a 2003 Framingham State College graduate yielding a B.A. in Economics. Realizing a career in the business world was not for me, I turned to my first love, fitness. At 16, I joined the gym and weight lifting became a huge part of my life. Going to the gym four days a week for over 10 years, I have seen a gradual yet steady change in my body. I enjoy learning new training techniques for myself as well as my clients to keep our workouts exciting, challenging, and fresh. I enjoy interacting with diverse clientele. I look forward to meeting with you and helping strive to meet your fitness goals!

    Mark has been with Fitness Together since February of 2016.  He graduated from Assumption College in 2010 with a Bachelors Degree in Organizational Communications. Mark has also been serving in the Massachusetts Army National Guard since 2013.
