    I have been a client of Fitness Together Belmont for about a year.  I started doing both personal training sessions as well as Packs, but have been exclusively attending Packs for the past several months.

    Since I started I have lost about twenty pounds and have lost several inches.*  It was nice having to take several of my pants to a tailor so that they could better fit the new me!

    I have enjoyed becoming part of the Fitness Together family over the past year.  And “family” is the correct word.  I really like all the trainers and have enjoyed getting to know my fellow clients during Packs or between workouts.  Without these “family” members, I am confident that I wouldn’t have seen these results.

  • Sarah Punter
    Head Trainer

    Sarah graduated from Advanced Aesthetics in 2008 while living in Canada. While she was working as an Aesthetician, her goal was to solve the problem that the client had. Instead of pushing products, she worked with the clients to improve their health. Thus, helping to prevent the problem in the future. She decided to change careers when she moved to Boston. Sarah went back to school and graduated from the National Personal Training Institute. Upon graduating in 2015, she joined the Belmont Fitness Together Team and attained her NASM and Fitness Together Certifications.

    Fitness is a huge part of Sarah’s life. She enjoys weight training, running, biking, hiking, and competing. Sarah is also very passionate about nutrition. Sarah is always pushing herself to new limits and making goals. Sarah loves helping people look and feel their best!

    Studio Manager

    Dawn has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years. She has worked in many aspects in this field from fitness management and sales, training clients, to teaching group exercise classes. Dawn holds a B.S. in Psychology with a concentration in Nutrition from Southern Connecticut State University, where she also instructed fitness programs on campus. Dawn became a fitness instructor certified through AFAA (Aerobic and Fitness Association of America) in 1988, her junior year in high school and never looked back. She is proficient in many formats such as Pilates, Step, and Kickboxing just to name a few. She also holds a certification from NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) since 2000. With her extensive background and passion for fitness, she brings a fresh, fun, and innovative flare to all of her training sessions. Dawn believes that being fit mentally, emotionally, and physically is the true fountain of youth. In addition to managing Fitness Together Sudbury, Dawn also manages Fitness Together Wayland.

    Jeff hold a BS in Exercise Science from Central Connecticut State University and is an American Council on Exercise (ACE) certified personal trainer.  He has trained at various locales in the Boston area and has experience working with a wide range of clients.

    Personal Trainer/Soft spoken Brazilian bad ass/Nice Ninja

    NPTI/NASM Certified Personal Trainer

    Growing up in Brazil Thiago was obsessed with Dragon ball Z, Jean Claude Van Damme, and Mike Tyson. He was shadow boxing long before he ever knew what that meant.  In 2008 Thiago earned his personal training certificate from the National Personal Training Institute. That same year he joined his first boxing gym. It wasn't long before he was mixing the two skills and creating intense martial arts/circuit training hybrid workouts. Thiago has also trained in Krav Maga ( the Israli hand to hand combat system) and Muay Thai.  Before Thiago joined the Fitness Together team he trained out of VO2 Max, a boxing/strength and conditioning gym.  Whether you are interested in getting in shape or learning how to box, Thiago would love to help you reach you goals.

  • Chris Giannini
    Personal Trainer

    Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History/Sociology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2005. He is a 2014 graduate of the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI), holds a Russian Kettlebell Certification, and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).  A college professor of his stated, "structure dictates function".  He found this to be true while finding his own training philosophy. Proper form is essential before adding a load to any movement; thus, minimizing the risk of injury and the frustration it elicits.  Whether training a novice or a superior athlete there are a handful of fundamental human movements that when implemented into an appropriate program will improve strength levels and day to day quality of life. 

    Chris was involved in the competitive athletics of football, baseball, and basketball through college. However, after graduating he began working a construction job that involved a lot of travel, not sticking to an exercise program with any consistency, and adopting poor nutritional habits. Following 6 years of practicing these bad habits he ballooned up to 320lbs. Starting a family he realized a lifestyle change was essential to become the husband and father he wanted to be. He rededicated himself to fitness and nutrition, lost 80lbs thus far, and found his true passion in life. Now he wants to spread that passion to others as he has seen first hand the benefits it produces both physically and mentally.  Providing the tools and motivation on a client's journey of altering their lifestyle to achieve, and surpass, their goals is the ultimate reward as your trainer.

  • Karina Johnson
    Certified Personal Trainer

    Karina has been training at Fitness Together since 2012.  She has held her certification through National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) since 2008.  Karina graduated from Colby College in 2005 with a degree in Art and French.  She ran Cross Country and Track, competing at the national level and serving as captain of the teams her senior year.  She continues to race post-collegiately with Battle Road Track Club, and considers the marathon her best event.  After spending several years coaching, Karina found herself gravitating toward the strength and conditioning aspect of coaching and pursued her certification through NASM.  She also enjoys cooking, baking, nutrition, and dancing. Working with clients of all ages, and pushing clients to achieve their goals and feel better in their daily activities is her favorite part of training.

  • Meghann Hjulstrom
    Personal Trainer

    Meghann first experienced the benefits of physical activity as a child, competing in gymnastics into her teenage years. During college, she discovered yoga and enjoyed the similar combination of strength and flexibility the practice provided, as well as its emphasis on form, alignment, and functional movement. Since then, she has learned to apply those same techniques to activities such as strength training and running, which helped her to overcome past injuries and achieve fitness goals including her first half marathon.

    Outside of her previous career in corporate training, Meghann completed her 200-hour yoga teaching certification through Boston Yoga School, graduated from the American Academy of Personal Training, and received her NASM certification. During this time, she decided to dedicate herself to health and fitness fully and become a personal trainer, combining her experience teaching others with her passion for wellness. Meghann loves supporting and empowering her clients to make health a priority, achieve their own goals, and discover how much their bodies can do!

    Mike has been training at Fitness Together since March 2013.
    He graduated from Springfield College in 2012 with a degree in Exercise Science.
    Mike fell in love with physical fitness at a very young age.     Shaina has a Bachelors of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising and minor in Business from Framingham State University. Once working in this field for a little over a year she knew she needed a change; She decided to go after her true passion of health and fitness. She attended the American Academy of Personal Training (AAPT) in Boston where she became certified through NASM (National Association of Sports Medicine).

    Shaina’s love for the gym has flourished over the last five years. Never being great at sports as a kid once she was introduced to a gym setting she really found her passion for weight lifting and even most recently yoga. Her other hobbies includes cooking, hiking and kayaking, and anything that involves dogs.

    Her background as a Certified Nursing Assistant has greatly helped her become well rounded and confident with working with people of all ages. Shaina truly believes it is never to late to change into living a healthy lifestyle. With the right tools anyone can become the best versions of themselves. Through helping her clients develop a healthy mindset and relationship around exercise and nutrition she knows she is can help anyone achieve their goals with great success.
