"FT is a great place because Brian and the staff make working out hard and fun. Where else could I throw a 14 pound ball and aim for my trainer's head? Every time I come to FT, I am encouraged, cheered on, and feel supported in working towards my fitness goals. And I love the Fitness Challenges-in spite of breaking an elliptical, hurting my heel last week, and pulling something in my stomach, I kept working out and going for my team. I started at Fitness Together Lincoln a year ago because I had changed jobs and my new position required much more stamina than my previous office position.  I realized I didn’t have the strength or stamina I needed to succeed.  I then I received a mailing from Fitness Together and made a life-changing call.

I can’t say enough about my trainer’s professionalism during the past year.  They both knew when to push me and when to ease off.  The ability to work with more than one trainer was ideal for me.  It allowed me the opportunity to change my workouts  when I needed it most.  Even with an old shoulder injury, the trainers found effective ways to train and motivate me in order to reach my goals.  My trainers are concerned about my goals and are sincere.   I appreciate that very much.

I ‘m thrilled I decided to invest in my future by joining Fitness Together.  I have no regrets.  I have new healthy habits and great confidence in myself.  I have lost weight and inches.*  Thanks to all of you who played an important role in my journey.  It’s been a year now and I feel great!

    Dear Friends at Fitness Together,

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter recommending your services. After a year of intensively preparing for knee surgery at Fitness Together, I finally had my knee replaced in October. Luckily the knee surgery went very smoothly without complications. But the other blessing was that all my work with Brian Knowles at Fitness Together paid off beautifully. From the very first day, nurses and physical therapists repeatedly commented on my leg strength. When I first started working with PJ, I struggled to do simple quad sets! Had I gone into surgery with that level of muscular weakness, I think my results would have been very different.

But PJ assigned me to Brian and over the next fourteen months Brian kept me at a steady pace of improvement. I credit the workouts and set up for preparing me in all the right ways.

There were three areas that particularly stood out. Firstly, because of my general strength, I was able to lift my operated knee and move it around almost from the very beginning – that made my stay in the hospital bed so much more comfortable. Luckily I was able to get off of narcotics on day three after surgery. I can’t prove that my workouts contributed to that – but I feel that it was a major factor. I was able to use crutches easily from the second day onward – and to get off those crutches easily after two weeks. When I left the hospital after three days, the physical therapist told me that I was already at the point most people achieve after two weeks!*

Both occupational and physical therapist commented on my agility, flexibility and balance. The PT actually said she was amazed at my posture on crutches! And she repeatedly said that I seemed to have naturally good form when exercising. None of those things come naturally to me – it was the weekly voice of Brian saying “lower those shoulders,” “tighten those abs,” “watch your form” that helped me!

Finally, every professional I worked with said that as soon as they showed me an exercise I seemed to have muscle memory to rely on. I just laughed and said, well after all those work outs, I better have something going on!

Now I look forward to getting back to the gym and finishing my recovery. Thank you to everyone who helped me – PJ, Paula, Shane, Paul, Caitlin, and especially Brian!

FT Wayland is totally awesome.  Kevin is the best trainer ever.  Very motivational, patient, and smart about special cases, like me - I had myriad health issues, and he was very cool about keeping me going.  In addition, when I had to step out for weeks at a time due to various medical treatments, Josh and the team held my sessions for me so that I wouldn't miss out.  I am moving out of town, but I can't recommend them highly enough.*

I have been a client of Fitness Together for more than seven years.  During that time I have worked with many of the trainers and they have all been very professional and wonderful to work with.

I recently had a total hip replacement.  Throughout the time before the surgery, my trainer was able to make accommodations so that I could maintain my overall strength.  This helped tremendously during recovery, making it easier and faster.  It has been a great compliment to Physical Therapy, and I know I will continue with Fitness Together after the Physical Therapy sessions end.

The ability of my Fitness Together trainer to develop and alter my training regime as needed has made it possible for me to continue working out.  I look forward to bicycling this summer and skiing next winter.

    Thank You Fitness Together!

During that time, he became certified through ACE (American Council on Exercise) in 2013. He is constantly learning in order to bring more to the clients and to help them achieve their goals.
