Sugar is Worse than Fat

Just about every diet or weight-loss plan puts a major emphasis on consuming less fat as a means of losing weight. Obviously, eating less fatty foods will help your body create fewer stored fat cells, but there may actually be a more dangerous culprit at large when it comes to, well, being large.
Insulin spikes created by consuming sugar actually force the body to process more incoming fat into stored fat cells. Research has shown that diets right in healthy fats (like Omegas 3 and 6), but low in sugar can be incredibly effective plans for weight loss.
If you’re trying to slim down, be mindful of fats, but stay as far away from excess sugar as possible.
