Lifting weights and strength training aren’t relegated to the world of body building alone. In fact, many pros recommend including weight training in your regular fitness routine for a variety of reasons. In addition to the added cardiovascular benefits and toning, lifting weights can also help individuals live and move more comfortably in their day-to-day lives.
Weight lifting for bulk usually means increasing your weight load at regular intervals in an effort to tear and grow new, larger muscle tissue. This requires individuals to lift extremely heavy loads, often in short sets that force maximum exertion.
Lifting for strength, on the other hand, means lifting medium to heavy sized weight loads over longer sets in an effort to build longer, leaner muscles. This can help tone targeted areas while also improving activity strength throughout the body. This way, the individual can take some of the struggle out of daily activities, improve mobility and help alleviate pains associated with muscle imbalance.
