    I began working out with FT about two months ago, mostly because even though I had worked out before, I found each time I began in earnest, I ended up hurting myself.  I was a professional athlete for most of my adult life, but as I age, I find my relationship to my body has changed and I'm simply unfamiliar with what it needs now.  As I passed 60, the things that used to be good for me, or I thought they were, no longer work to keep me fit or strong or balanced.  My relationship to food and my ability to adjust my weight is also different and honestly confusing, as I thought I understood this sort of basic task.  Worse, I often realized that by the end of the day, my energy was completely gone.  I finally thought I simply had to go back to school around this and I'm so very glad I did.

    In the two months I've been working with the trainers at FT, I've rediscovered my enjoyment of working with my own body and learned how to tend to what it needs now, not what I remember it needing.  I've learned how to carry myself again and work out with safety and enjoyment.  There isn't a single trainer I've met who isn't knowledgeable and attentive, and I would recommend FT to any friend or family member as a gift one gives to oneself.  The one on one attention is simply the best part of the whole package, save the enormous jump in energy I have left at the end of the day.  My weight is decreasing steadily and my strength and balance improve every time I work out.*

    Hello, my name is Coty Yandell. As a former Varsity athlete I learned early on about the importance of keeping a body in great physical condition, not only for sport performance but for everyday activities.

    My passion for fitness led me to pursue Athletic Training At Bowling Green State University and then further my experience with a Certified Personal Trainer program through the American Council on Exercise. 

    Sometimes we place our physical well-being on the back burner.  It can often be overlooked even though it plays such a large role for such small tasks in our everyday life; activities such as playing with pets, working outside or even walking in the park.   • Corey Nielsen
    Director of Human Resources, Director of Marketing, Certified Personal Trainer

    Hi there.  My name is Corey Nielsen and I have been a personal trainer and strength coach for 10 years.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University and a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology from Kent State University.  I have my personal trainer certification as well as my certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the NSCA.  I was a ballet dancer for 22 years and performed all over North America, including as a guest dancer with the New York City Ballet for a performance of Swan Lake, and as a guest dancer with the Houston Ballet for a performance of Cinderella.  Because of my years in ballet as well as with my education, I am prepared to work with you to overcome any physical limitation you may have.  I have trained people in order to get them ready to go on to become track stars as well as military personnel.  I have also helped people overcome torn rotator cuffs and ACL tears and I specialize with clinical cardiac rehabilitation.  No matter what level you are, I can help you get to the next one!

    My name is Andrew Hinton and I first got involved in fitness through the countless sports I played while growing up. My focal sport that I played, and continue to play, is golf. My relentless work ethic on the course and in the gym, lead me to qualify for the Division I state golf tournament, where I placed seventh overall. After high school, I attended Bowling Green State University where I majored in the field of Exercise Science. After just four short years, I graduated with honors with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science.  Bowling Green provided me with many field experience opportunities, most notably this past summer, I worked at EXOS in Raleigh, North Carolina. EXOS is a nationwide franchise providing sport performance training for athletes of all skill levels. At EXOS I worked closely with both the physical therapy staff and sport performance staff as we delivered proper medical care and sport performance training to athletes with the likes of the Carolina Hurricanes and Olympic sprinter and bronze medalist, Bershawn Jackson. While working with these elite athletes, I learned so much about their training and am ready to pass my knowledge to my clients.     My name is Shannon Hamilton and I am currently in my mid twenties with many fitness goals and accomplishments in my pocket. I am a certified trainer through the ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association).  I began my fitness journey as a competitor, focusing on many sports such as, volleyball,softball, weightlifting, and track. These sports have shaped my future in granting me the ability to play at a collegiate level. Once my career as a college athlete came to an end, I found myself still craving an athletic and competitive drive . Through this transition I began a lifestyle change and found a deep admiration for the world of female bodybuilding focusing on the figure division. This sport has completely shaped my life to this day. I have embraced an overly disciplined schedule, following nutritional regiments, cardiovascular training, and most importantly the art of weight lifting and strength training to achieve the body needed to compete at a high level . With numerous years under my belt I have became a well rounded personal trainer, athlete, competitor and fitness expert when it comes to training in many aspects of fitness .

    Nolan graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelor's Degree of Sport Management. He holds a Personal Trainer certificate through ISSA. He is a former athlete, and now coaches and trains both High School Basketball and Golf teams. Nolan has trained a wide range of clients, and has great experience with rehabilitating injuries. His passion is to push people past what they could accomplish on their own, and be the accountability it takes to reach their fitness goals.

    Hi, my name is Mike Workman. I've been a personal trainer here at fitness together for about a year. Before working at FT, I studied and completed my undergrad degree of Exercise Science from Bowling Green State University. I have a passion for fitness, but an even bigger passion for helping people in both fitness and life. I truly enjoy helping people in whatever ways possible, whether it be through weight loss, boosting energy levels, raising self esteem, or even becoming a better athlete.  Through my studies at BGSU and my certifications, I have learned a lot of different tactics to help people get their ideal figure. I love helping people achieve things they thought they could never do and showing them anything is possible with dedication and hard work. I always bring a positive, upbeat attitude to my sessions and motivate individuals in many different ways.
         When I'm not working at Fitness Together I enjoy outdoor activities such as Golfing, Snowboarding, Hiking, and Camping. Being outside and staying active is something that is important for me, not only for my physical health, but mentally as well. Through my training I enjoy teaching people the passion for exercise and how they can use it through their every day life.

    My name is Jennifer Toronski, and I have been a personal trainer here at Fitness Together for eleven years.  I decided to get my training certification after the birth of my third child because I have always been interested in the health and wellness industry.  I started as a medical assistant but quickly decided I wanted to be more proactive and preventative about health.  Having been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid at an early age, fitness didn't come easily for me. As a result, I understand how hard it is to start an exercise regime and keep the motivation to achieve specific fitness goals. I really enjoy helping others go through their fitness journeys, becoming healthier together, and finding life styles that work for them.
