    I cannot say enough about Josh and Cody! In the spring Josh suggested that I participate in the Warrior Dash. If it involved heights, water or running then this was not for me. I have a fear of heights and water and in high school I tried out for track and was told by the coach that I should try shot-put. But Josh did not give up on me. He truly believed that this was something that I could do. He told me that what we did in training has prepared me more then enough. But the running part was an issue. Cody and Josh worked with me but I needed to do more to be ready to run. Cody told me that I could just walk the 5k. My goal became to finish the course and to complete each and every obstacle. And I DID!!!! (Just ask anyone that sees me when I come to my sessions and afterwards). Out of 6,756 runners that day I came in at 6,729 in regards to time, at least I was not last.* Josh has me already signed up for next year's Warrior Dash and Cody has already asked me what my goal for the next Dash was. Not sure about the running, but losing more weight and perhaps jogging at a nice pace. I truly have a great time working out with Josh and Cody. They push you more then you think you can do. They are always positive and know what your limitations are. I also enjoy the company of working out with other clients (MaryAnn and Vicki)! I feel more confident about my appearance.   • Andrew Hinton
    Certified Personal Trainer

    My name is Andrew Hinton and I first got involved in fitness through the countless sports I played while growing up. My focal sport that I played, and continue to play, is golf. My relentless work ethic on the course and in the gym, lead me to qualify for the Division I state golf tournament, where I placed seventh overall. After high school, I attended Bowling Green State University where I majored in the field of Exercise Science. After just four short years, I graduated with honors with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science.  Bowling Green provided me with many field experience opportunities, most notably this past summer, I worked at EXOS in Raleigh, North Carolina. EXOS is a nationwide franchise providing sport performance training for athletes of all skill levels. At EXOS I worked closely with both the physical therapy staff and sport performance staff as we delivered proper medical care and sport performance training to athletes with the likes of the Carolina Hurricanes and Olympic sprinter and bronze medalist, Bershawn Jackson. While working with these elite athletes, I learned so much about their training and am ready to pass my knowledge to my clients.     My passion for fitness started my freshman year of college while attending Kent State University.  Throughout high school I was always involved in sports and was in pretty good shape, but I wanted to continue a healthy, fitness-centered lifestyle while beginning my college journey.  I immediately fell in love with all things fitness and changed majors to Exercise Science.  Since then, I have shared my love of fitness with friends and family and have been a part of some major transformations over the years.  My goal is to help you change and enhance your life and the lives of others through fitness, proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle changes.

    Director of Human Resources, Director of Marketing, Certified Personal Trainer

    Hi there.  My name is Corey Nielsen and I have been a personal trainer and strength coach for 10 years.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University and a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology from Kent State University.  I have my personal trainer certification as well as my certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the NSCA.  I was a ballet dancer for 22 years and performed all over North America, including as a guest dancer with the New York City Ballet for a performance of Swan Lake, and as a guest dancer with the Houston Ballet for a performance of Cinderella.  Because of my years in ballet as well as with my education, I am prepared to work with you to overcome any physical limitation you may have.  I have trained people in order to get them ready to go on to become track stars as well as military personnel.  I have also helped people overcome torn rotator cuffs and ACL tears and I specialize with clinical cardiac rehabilitation.  No matter what level you are, I can help you get to the next one!

    My name is Jennifer Toronski, and I have been a personal trainer here at Fitness Together for eleven years.  I decided to get my training certification after the birth of my third child because I have always been interested in the health and wellness industry.  I started as a medical assistant but quickly decided I wanted to be more proactive and preventative about health.  Having been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid at an early age, fitness didn't come easily for me. As a result, I understand how hard it is to start an exercise regime and keep the motivation to achieve specific fitness goals. I really enjoy helping others go through their fitness journeys, becoming healthier together, and finding life styles that work for them.

    From the age of 4, my parents had me in some kind of sport. Football,
    basketball, and baseball became my top 3 choices. I played up until high school, then I focused on just football and basketball. Going into college I hadn't decided which direction to go, career wise, and was not pursuing sports on a collegiate level.  Despite this I still kept physically active with weight lifting and recreational sports. I loved how it made me feel when I was active and wanted to help people feel the same way, so I combined an occupation and hobby into one. It also holds me accountable by practicing what I preach.


    I want to teach people how to become better versions of themselves by setting goals and working towards them. There is no better feeling than setting and accomplishing a goal, except when you help someone else reach theirs. The look on that person's face when they hit their goals, knowing you played a part in their success gives you satisfaction like nothing else. There are many benefits in staying healthy and active.


    Obesity is an epidemic across the world, especially in the U.S. I believe people are too scared to step outside of their comfort zones. They are afraid that others are going to judge them or are too ashamed that they let themselves get too out of shape. I want people to feel comfortable, knowing there are others like me who want to help by educating them on leading healthier lives; lives without a ton of medications, diseases, and an opportunity to live longer. This is why I became a personal trainer.

    Hello, my name is Coty Yandell. As a former Varsity athlete I learned early on about the importance of keeping a body in great physical condition, not only for sport performance but for everyday activities.

    My passion for fitness led me to pursue Athletic Training At Bowling Green State University and then further my experience with a Certified Personal Trainer program through the American Council on Exercise. 

    Sometimes we place our physical well-being on the back burner.  It can often be overlooked even though it plays such a large role for such small tasks in our everyday life; activities such as playing with pets, working outside or even walking in the park.     Nolan graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelor's Degree of Sport Management. He holds a Personal Trainer certificate through ISSA. He is a former athlete, and now coaches and trains both High School Basketball and Golf teams. Nolan has trained a wide range of clients, and has great experience with rehabilitating injuries. His passion is to push people past what they could accomplish on their own, and be the accountability it takes to reach their fitness goals.

    Hi, my name is Mike Workman. I've been a personal trainer here at fitness together for about a year. Before working at FT, I studied and completed my undergrad degree of Exercise Science from Bowling Green State University. I have a passion for fitness, but an even bigger passion for helping people in both fitness and life. I truly enjoy helping people in whatever ways possible, whether it be through weight loss, boosting energy levels, raising self esteem, or even becoming a better athlete.  Through my studies at BGSU and my certifications, I have learned a lot of different tactics to help people get their ideal figure. I love helping people achieve things they thought they could never do and showing them anything is possible with dedication and hard work. I always bring a positive, upbeat attitude to my sessions and motivate individuals in many different ways.
         When I'm not working at Fitness Together I enjoy outdoor activities such as Golfing, Snowboarding, Hiking, and Camping. Being outside and staying active is something that is important for me, not only for my physical health, but mentally as well. Through my training I enjoy teaching people the passion for exercise and how they can use it through their every day life.

    My name is Shannon Hamilton and I am currently in my mid twenties with many fitness goals and accomplishments in my pocket. I am a certified trainer through the ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association).  I began my fitness journey as a competitor, focusing on many sports such as, volleyball,softball, weightlifting, and track. These sports have shaped my future in granting me the ability to play at a collegiate level. Once my career as a college athlete came to an end, I found myself still craving an athletic and competitive drive . Through this transition I began a lifestyle change and found a deep admiration for the world of female bodybuilding focusing on the figure division. This sport has completely shaped my life to this day. I have embraced an overly disciplined schedule, following nutritional regiments, cardiovascular training, and most importantly the art of weight lifting and strength training to achieve the body needed to compete at a high level . With numerous years under my belt I have became a well rounded personal trainer, athlete, competitor and fitness expert when it comes to training in many aspects of fitness .
