Soreness from a workout will vary from person to person. Depending on the type of workout routine they are in and their overall conditioning, soreness can begin within 24-48 hours post workout. Some people experience a delayed onset muscle soreness which is typically after the second day post workout. Soreness is typical when beginning a new routine or changing the intensity of the current one. Extreme muscle soreness can be very uncomfortable so it is important to continue to stretch and foam roll those areas. Typical muscle soreness should get better after a few days from the onset.
