When I went for my assessment and saw I was 200 pounds, I wondered if there was any hope. There was. Fitness Together gave me that hope, the attention and tools I needed to change my life and lifestyle.     After being active most of my life, I had fallen into a sedentary lifestyle and lacked motivation to get restarted. I needed something to get me going again. I decided to dust off an old goal to complete a marathon and started looking for help to get me there.

    I found Lenny and the staff at Fitness Together - Waxhaw. We reviewed my goals and created a personalized training schedule tailored to me. The professional trainers did more than just get me restarted; they helped me establish a fitness routine that became part of my daily activities. Seven months later, I completed my first marathon. Two years later, I have completed 5 marathons and have qualified for the Boston Marathon. I’m still training and continue to improve my running and overall fitness every day.

    Owner/Personal Trainer

    Laurence joined the Fitness Together Southpark training family in 2008 from Melbourne, Australia. He has a degree in Biomedical Science from Monash University in Melbourne. He has also received a Level 3 Health & Fitness certification from the Australian Institute of Fitness, as well as the Fitness Together personal trainer certification.

    Prior to moving to Charlotte, Laurence was working as a gym and rock climbing instructor in Melbourne. Laurence has a unique training style that he likes to say comes from his background in swimming and triathlons, as well as the knowledge and drive instilled in him by his youth coaches. His moto in training is "practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect".

    Scott is certified through NASM and has been an owner of Fitness Together since 2012.

    Scott is an excellent motivator! He will get you in the studio 3-4 times a week to hit your goals and get you on your way to a healthy life. His clients currently range from 25-59 so there is no age limit to when you can start.

    In his free time he is studying for a degree, enjoys being with his family, and enjoys football and boxing!

On top of her Bachelor's degree, Ali has earned certifications in Spin, Pilates and PiYo as well as her personal training certification through ACSM. As a young professional she is very passionate about continuously expanding her knowledge base and is always learning new ways to get optimal results with her clients. She sees a lot of value in getting to know and forming relationships with her clients as they take on their health journey together.

  • Jeron Mosteller is a certified personal trainer

    Jeron joined the Fitness Together Southpark team in Fall of 2013. Originally from North Carolina, Jeron attended UNC Charlotte where he obtained a degree in Exercise Science, a minor in Interdisciplinary Health studies, and a concentration in Strength and Conditioning. He is also an ACSM certified Health and Fitness Specialist.

    Jeron has been a personal trainer for more than 8 years now; directing boot camps, strength building, athletic coaching, and even yoga! He has spent time living in the Caymen Islands after graduation where he also worked as a personal trainer. Long term he wants to own and operate his own facility.

    Jeron's training methods incorporate free weights, body weight exercise, and HIIT. His favorite part of training is developing a relationship with clients, watching them change and grow (larger or smaller) along the way.

     Josh Carter has been with the FT team since Oct of 2013. 

    Josh was taught the importance of health and fitness at the young age of ten when his father took him to the Catawaba Valley YMCA. For years later the hobby grew into an obsession when his father purchased a weight set and set it up in the garage. Since then Josh has strived for fitness and in July of 2013 decided to share his knowledge and help others adopt life changes promoting a healthy mind, body and spirit. After gaining his personal training certification through ACE ( American Council on Exercise), Josh is now perusing more certifications.  Josh loves the atmosphere that FT provides because it gives him the ability to focus on each client individually. With 2 years under his belt here he has helped people of all sizes and ages move toward and reach their fitness goals. Josh thrives off the opportunity to change his clients’ lives just as he changed his own. He loves having the creative freedom to keep his clients motivated and excited about exercise.
