    I first heard about Fitness Together from a friend who had been training at one of the studios. She kept saying how great her experience was and she was looking amazing after losing weight since starting training with a Fitness Together personal trainer.* I had gained weight because I had not worked out in a while and decided that I needed help. With a little push from my friend I decided to give Fitness Together a try. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made!*

    From the moment I walked in the door I knew that something was different about Fitness Together. This was not just your regular gym. I was instantly greeted by smiling trainers and friendly clients who were warming up on a variety of cardio machines in the lobby.     It was summer of 2014 and I had a decision to make.  Either I decided to find the key to keeping weight off and living a healthy life or I had to decide to accept myself the way I was – at an unhealthy weight in an unhealthy body.

     

    I had remained loyal to my workouts at Fitness Together but exercise alone can’t take care of excess weight.  It is only one key.  The other key to permanent weight loss is sound nutrition and, almost more importantly, figuring out what is going on in your own head that causes you to act in opposition to your own best interest.

    I had been on many diets in the past – NutriSystem, liquid diets, Weight Watchers – but what seemed to be missing was how to motivate myself, how to figure out making permanent changes, and how to make a real lifestyle change.  I decided to choose trying one more time to lose weight and finding out, for the first time, how to succeed in doing so.

    All the trainers I work with - especially Jon and Josh – have been with me every step of the way and have demonstrated such interest and caring about my journey that I don’t think I could have gotten this far without them.  It has taken a village to get me to this point and everyday I am grateful that Fitness Together is part of my village.

     

    Encouragement, hard work, motivation from within and one indulgence meal per week (I wouldn’t miss it for the world!) have gotten me where I am so far.  I have lost 70 lbs since October 19th and have about 48 lbs to go.*  I have no doubt that I will reach my goal and I hope you will see some follow up pictures from Sarah as I continue this journey.  If you want to transform, please remember your WHY (why you want to lose weight), remember your HARD (what is your biggest fear), trust the process (forget improvising), and realize you are only going to get out of your workouts what you are willing to put into them.

    Prior to joining FT, my work and life schedule was inconsistent with travel,kids, job, etc... I had a difficult time maintaining any consistent workout schedule and healthy eating habits. My wife encouraged me to get a personal trainer since I got to the point where I had given up on trying to lose weight or get in shape. I just had my 40th Birthday, I was up to 225 (from 170 lbs when we met), I was moody, self conscious, uncomfortable, sluggish, etc...everyone who is out of shape can relate. My wife read an article in a local paper about a Fitness Together Client who was successful with the FT program, so I thought I would give it a shot.

  • Mary Rose
    Fitness Consultant, certified personal trainer

    Certified as a personal trainer through WITS, Mary is enthusiastic about coaching others towards health and fitness as a trainer with Fitness Together. She has always enjoyed backpacking and was introduced to rock climbing at the age of 20. Mary then spent several years focusing on that passion and climbing in various locations throughout the U.S. as well as teaching and coaching at a climbing gym. Through her first hand experiences with rigorous outdoor activities, Mary has learned that developing strength and stamina produces high levels of confidence and capability for tackling difficult life events. Mary always strives to develop a creative and fun workout experience for her clients while focusing on helping them achieve their goals. She believes everyone is capable of great achievements but that they need energy and confidence to realize their potential, both of which can be developed through exercise and functional strength. Mary thoroughly enjoys teaching people how to stay physically fit and healthy, and is currently back in school studying Health Promotion.

Her love for fitness started as a young athlete which led her to SUNY Plattsburgh where she graduated with a degree in Fitness & Wellness Leadership. On top of her Bachelor's degree, Ali has earned certifications in Spin, Pilates and PiYo as well as her personal training certification through ACSM. As a young professional, she is very passionate about continuously expanding her knowledge base and is always learning new ways to get optimal results with her clients. She sees a lot of value in getting to know and forming relationships with her clients as they take on their health journey together.

    Heather has been in the fitness industry for many years.  She has earned her Certified Personal Training License from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Merchandising and Business from East Carolina University.  Her experience training clients ranges from group training, youth, and one-on-one fitness programs.

    Her passion is to help clients see and believe anything is possible with hard work and a happy heart. She enjoys teaching clients that success comes from within and that the human body is an amazing machine that can do great things!

    Heather and her husband reside in Mooresville with their three daughters.  She loves to strengthen her body and mind by strength training and reading.  She has competed in two National Physique Committee Bikini Competitions.

    Chavanne brings a wealth of experience, energy, and passion to her Fitness Together Ballantyne team. Her work focuses on proactive healthcare, total human optimization, and building a community of clients that consistently strive to achieve optimal levels of health & fitness that improve their quality of life physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, & spiritually. Health & fitness isn't just a career for Chavanne; it's a lifestyle! That transcends to all of the people she is privileged to work with. She greatly values results and relationships and most loves when people experience the joy and freedom of moving well. As the Studio Owner/Operator, she leads with the mindset of "Thin rulebook. Thick culture." She graduated from LSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and minor in Dance Theater. Her professional certifications include: ACSM Personal Trainer, ACE Group Fitness, and RYT 200 Yoga Teacher certification. Her continued studies over that last decade include: Kettlebell training, Slight Edge Performance techniques, and Maximal Human Optimization.

  • Jeron Mosteller is a certified personal trainer

    Jeron Mosteller
    Manager/Personal Trainer

    Jeron joined the Fitness Together Southpark team in Fall of 2013. Originally from North Carolina, Jeron attended UNC Charlotte where he obtained a degree in Exercise Science, a minor in Interdisciplinary Health studies, and a concentration in Strength and Conditioning. He is also an ACSM certified Health and Fitness Specialist.

    Jeron has been a personal trainer for more than 8 years now; directing boot camps, strength building, athletic coaching, and even yoga! He has spent time living in the Caymen Islands after graduation where he also worked as a personal trainer. Long term he wants to own and operate his own facility.

    Jeron's training methods incorporate free weights, body weight exercise, and HIIT. His favorite part of training is developing a relationship with clients, watching them change and grow (larger or smaller) along the way.

    Chris is a native of Arizona and studied Business Communication at Arizona State University. He has been living in the Charlotte area since 2006. Chris grew up playing basketball, football and running track and has had a passion for sports and fitness his entire life. After suffering two separate injuries, both requiring surgery, he saw the important role specialized training and research played in his own recovery. Chris then obtained an NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) personal training certification, hoping to help others recover from injuries and maintain a high level of strength and fitness. Chris loves helping people reach their personal strength and fitness goals, always learning through the process.

    Brandon received a BS in Nutrition and minor in Exercise science at Western Carolina University. He is certified through EXOS and has been in the personal training field for 3 years.

        I have been into fitness since a young age, as I played sports from youth up to college. My passion is to help people reach their goals and provide them with the knowledge and training that will enhance their lifestyle.  I have worked with individuals of all ages and love the setting here at Fitness Together. One of my main focus points is proper technique and posture, as I believe it is very important in preventing injury and negative stress.  In my free time I enjoy working out, spending time with family and friends, sports, and studying for further certifications.

    Dakota Brown
    PERSONAL TRAINER

    Dakota moved to Charlotte in 2016 from the small mountain town of Waynesville, NC. He attended Lenoir Rhyne University on a sporting scholarship where he played college football and baseball for 2 1/2 years before transferring to Western Carolina University and graduating with a degree in history.

    His passion for health and fitness lead him to complete his exercise science degree from the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI). He is also a certified personal trainer through NASM and likes to specialize in corrective exercises and postural distortions. He says that his favorite part of training is seeing clients do things that they never thought they could do.

    In his free time he loves to be outdoors: hunting, fishing, hiking and anything 4-wheel drive! He also loves playing guitar or reading comic books.

  • Bryan Wisdom, M.A.
    Owner/Operator

    Bryan has two decades of experience in the health and fitness industry. “I’m most excited about how well my staff and I implement functional training into each and every workout.” He received his B.S. in Kinesiology from San Diego State University and his Masters in Education from Loyola Marymount University. Bryan spent nearly five years training clients in biomechanics at the Egoscue Method exercise therapy company in San Diego, California. He was certified by the NSCA and has worked with NFL, NBA, and professional golfers. He has assisted clients with postural and biomechanical issues and uses exercise to restore the body to proper function. “For me training is about getting to know my clients, and finding the best way to help them attain their goals.”

    For almost a decade he has served the Mooresville community as owner/operator of Fitness Together Mooresville. During that time he has built a great staff-“All my team members go through a very specific training system learning posture and corrective movement. It’s great to see how much of an IMPACT our trainers make in our client’s lives.”  You may see him out on the lake or a trail doing things that make him come alive. His passions include surfing, wakeboarding, SUPing, trail running, and biking.

    Her passion is to help clients see and believe anything is possible with hard work and a happy heart. She enjoys teaching clients that success comes from within and that the human body is an amazing machine that can do great things!

    Heather and her husband reside in Mooresville with their three daughters.  She loves to strengthen her body and mind by strength training and reading.  She has competed in two National Physique Committee Bikini Competitions.

    Chavanne brings a wealth of experience, energy, and passion to her Fitness Together Ballantyne team. Her work focuses on proactive healthcare, total human optimization, and building a community of clients that consistently strive to achieve optimal levels of health & fitness that improve their quality of life physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, & spiritually. Health & fitness isn't just a career for Chavanne; it's a lifestyle! That transcends to all of the people she is privileged to work with. She greatly values results and relationships and most loves when people experience the joy and freedom of moving well. As the Studio Owner/Operator, she leads with the mindset of "Thin rulebook. Thick culture." She graduated from LSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and minor in Dance Theater. Her professional certifications include: ACSM Personal Trainer, ACE Group Fitness, and RYT 200 Yoga Teacher certification. Her continued studies over that last decade include: Kettlebell training, Slight Edge Performance techniques, and Maximal Human Optimization.

  • Jeron Mosteller is a certified personal trainer

    Jeron Mosteller
    Manager/Personal Trainer

    Jeron joined the Fitness Together Southpark team in Fall of 2013. Originally from North Carolina, Jeron attended UNC Charlotte where he obtained a degree in Exercise Science, a minor in Interdisciplinary Health studies, and a concentration in Strength and Conditioning. He is also an ACSM certified Health and Fitness Specialist.

    Jeron has been a personal trainer for more than 8 years now; directing boot camps, strength building, athletic coaching, and even yoga! He has spent time living in the Caymen Islands after graduation where he also worked as a personal trainer. Long term he wants to own and operate his own facility.

    Jeron's training methods incorporate free weights, body weight exercise, and HIIT. His favorite part of training is developing a relationship with clients, watching them change and grow (larger or smaller) along the way.

  • Chris Howard
    Fitness Consultant, certified personal trainer

    Chris is a native of Arizona and studied Business Communication at Arizona State University. He has been living in the Charlotte area since 2006. Chris grew up playing basketball, football and running track and has had a passion for sports and fitness his entire life. After suffering two separate injuries, both requiring surgery, he saw the important role specialized training and research played in his own recovery. Chris then obtained an NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) personal training certification, hoping to help others recover from injuries and maintain a high level of strength and fitness. Chris loves helping people reach their personal strength and fitness goals, always learning through the process.

  • Brandon DeCaro
    Trainer, Nutrition Specialist

     

    Brandon received a BS in Nutrition and minor in Exercise science at Western Carolina University. He is certified through EXOS and has been in the personal training field for 3 years.

        I have been into fitness since a young age, as I played sports from youth up to college. My passion is to help people reach their goals and provide them with the knowledge and training that will enhance their lifestyle.  I have worked with individuals of all ages and love the setting here at Fitness Together. One of my main focus points is proper technique and posture, as I believe it is very important in preventing injury and negative stress.  In my free time I enjoy working out, spending time with family and friends, sports, and studying for further certifications.

  • Dakota is a certified personal trainer

    Dakota Brown
    PERSONAL TRAINER

    Dakota moved to Charlotte in 2016 from the small mountain town of Waynesville, NC. He attended Lenoir Rhyne University on a sporting scholarship where he played college football and baseball for 2 1/2 years before transferring to Western Carolina University and graduating with a degree in history.

    His passion for health and fitness lead him to complete his exercise science degree from the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI). He is also a certified personal trainer through NASM and likes to specialize in corrective exercises and postural distortions. He says that his favorite part of training is seeing clients do things that they never thought they could do.

    In his free time he loves to be outdoors: hunting, fishing, hiking and anything 4-wheel drive! He also loves playing guitar or reading comic books.

  • Bryan Wisdom, M.A.
    Owner/Operator

    Bryan has two decades of experience in the health and fitness industry. “I’m most excited about how well my staff and I implement functional training into each and every workout.” He received his B.S. in Kinesiology from San Diego State University and his Masters in Education from Loyola Marymount University. Bryan spent nearly five years training clients in biomechanics at the Egoscue Method exercise therapy company in San Diego, California. He was certified by the NSCA and has worked with NFL, NBA, and professional golfers. He has assisted clients with postural and biomechanical issues and uses exercise to restore the body to proper function. “For me training is about getting to know my clients, and finding the best way to help them attain their goals.”

    For almost a decade he has served the Mooresville community as owner/operator of Fitness Together Mooresville. During that time he has built a great staff-“All my team members go through a very specific training system learning posture and corrective movement. It’s great to see how much of an IMPACT our trainers make in our client’s lives.”  You may see him out on the lake or a trail doing things that make him come alive. His passions include surfing, wakeboarding, SUPing, trail running, and biking.
