I came to Fitness Together as an unhealthy and overstressed person. I was in a downwards spiral and needed a lifestyle course correction. I also knew that I needed some hard-core support to turn around. My initial intent was to get a “jump-start” and then transition into a routine on my own. It was during one intense workout where I was on the last circuit and struggling to finish when the trainer looked at me and said “at this point it’s all mental, not physical” and that’s when it hit me, this was not just a program to get in shape, I had found a great outlet to manage stress and work-out my mental muscles too. I love showing up and having the entire workout pre-planned and ready to go. I enjoy the varied workouts to keep things interesting and fresh. I like the solitude of a private environment, but more importantly I value the tough love no-nonsense push from the trainer to get me to the next level of performance.

The past year has been a journey and a lifestyle shift – the early results provided the momentum to make lifestyle changes that included eating habits, cardio workouts on my own time, and ensuring that I kept to a routine of cardio and strength exercises  when I’m on business travel 2-3 times/month. My journey continues as I relocate for my job from the Charlotte area to Atlanta GA where I plan to connect with the local Fitness Together for continued success.
