I've been a client of Fitness Together for about 13 weeks. It has been one of those life experiences that has been transforming both physically and mentally. I was at a point physically where, like so many clients, I knew I had to do something to change the path I was on. I was fortunate to run into Erin Mellinger at a craft show where she had set up and information booth and had a brief conversation with her about Fitness Together. She invited me to come in for a free assessment, and boy what an eye opener! The assessment told me that I was in much worse condition than I thought. There was only one thing to do, and I'm doing it! The changes that have taken place physically have been dramatic. My clothes don't fit now for another reason. They're getting too big!!! I'm beginning to tolerate how I look when I see myself in the mirror, and that means I feel better about myself mentally. Although the exercise I'm now engaged in is difficult at times, it is also enjoyable and essential to any lifestyle change; however, none of this would have happened without the nutrition aspect of Fitness Together. I think this is what separates F.T. from just an ordinary "workout" gym. Kara has been extremely helpful in presenting nutritional options and explaining how nutrition and exercise work hand in hand. The healthy recipes have benefited both myself and my wife who is also dropping weight. It has also made meal planning easier for both of us.
Of course, none of this would matter without the personal trainers of FT., those people you love to hate and hate to love. They give you undivided attention to your workout, monitor the progress, push when needed, and ease up when necessary. They are always encouraging and take positive reinforcement to another level. F.T has given me renewed levels of energy, sound sleep at night, taken my digestive system to a new and improved level and given me an opportunity, under my doctor's care, to get off of my cholesterol medication and avoid those aching muscles that result from it.*
My trainers make me responsible for my progress and make me accountable for the minutes I put in on training sessions and cardio. Accountability, for me, is a good thing and an essential to my success. The exercises are variable and never overwork one particular muscle group. There's always time to recuperate. The scheduling is flexible and tailored to the client's availability which eliminates the excuses for "slacking". These are some of the reasons I am glad that I made the decision to visit Fitness Together. It has been a life transforming decision, and I am thankful to everyone who has had a part in the ongoing transformation. Thank you all!
