Reid Skory

Certified Personal Trainer

The key to fitness success is knowledge and consistency, not the latest fad diet or exercise craze. Reid’s training philosophies are grounded on scientifically based training principles while understanding the mental challenges associated with serious lifestyle change. In his training programs Reid believes in a systematic progression through various exercise phases to “trick” your body into consistently producing lasting results. The body is a magnificent system which adapts to diet and exercise very quickly. Due to this nature of adaption Reid stresses the importance of working with a knowledgeable professional who continually monitors individual progress and manipulates training to ensure continuing results.

Certified through the National Academy of Sport Medicine he’s trained to work with clients of all ages and goals ranging from weight loss to strength gain and athletic performance. For Reid, health and fitness isn’t simply a career it’s a life-long passion.  Much of his free time is spent reading about the latest exercise and diet research in various trade journals, testing them on himself and incorporating what works into his client’s exercise programs. Reid has been weight training for nearly 8 years and in that time has experienced the many ways in which our bodies adapt to different stimuli. Recently he’s focused his personal training efforts toward bodybuilding and competed in his first show in late 2011. When he’s not focused on health and fitness you’ll likely find him biking, kayaking, camping or fishing. During his off days he also enjoys relaxing with friends watching an NHL, NFL or college football game.
