I have been a sports, fitness, and outdoors fanatic since I was young, played school sports through High School and some College and I still stay as active as my three kids schedules will allow me to be. After graduating from US Air Force Academy in 1999, I started my career and completed a few overseas deployments, graduated from the US Navy Top Gun School and honed my instructional skills while learning how to build great teams. While in the Air Force I was fortunate enough to have additional duty as a Physical Training Lead, ran the Reconditioning Program to help cadets follow tailored programs designed to pass the USAF PT test and later oversaw the base gym. At the same time, I had roles in the civilian workforce and I am also fortunate to be able to draw on skills learned as a Management Consultant, Project & Program Manager and Executive Coach. My #1 priority is to help you achieve your fitness goals and I believe we have the perfect training staff at FTWS to do just that!

in my free time I like to
Mountain Bike and Ski as much as I can, but I try to get in other activities as able - golf, running, lifting, and off-roading/camping. Most of my free time is spent watching/coaching my kids activities which I love doing.

I, like many people, I started my fitness journey because I was told I was unhealthy by a doctor. For me this happened at the young age of 12, my first sport was swim because I always enjoyed being in the water and how it felt to be weightless. As I started getting older and losing weight, I decided to play football and wrestle. Before doing contact sports I wanted to be stronger and bigger, so I worked with a personal trainer to master the basic form of lifting and strength training. After falling in love with exercise of any form, I decided that I wanted to understand what was happening in the body and why. This led to my deciding of Exercise Science for a major in college. So far, I have worked with all age groups and clients through all stages of life, from kids as young as 5 to older adults reaching 99 years of age with dementia/Alzheimer’s and everything in between. My goal is to help you be a stronger and more confident version of who you already are.

in my free time I like to
Do physical activity of any kind! I love to test my body in different ways and to get my heartrate and blood pumping. When I am not doing something physical, I enjoy spending time with my dogs (Storm and Dozer). I also like playing video games with my friends or to read while drinking a hot cup of tea.

I became certified as a personal trainer in September 2019 from the NASM program. After graduating with a business degree from Augustana College in 2014 I pursued a career in the truck rental, leasing and logistics business. After 5 years of climbing the ladder and playing the corporate business game I was burnt out. I wanted a job where I enjoy coming to work and feel accomplished doing so. I quit my job and started studying to become a personal trainer. I had a passion for fitness growing up; especially weight training and team sports. I was a volleyball player in high school and college. I started weight training in college and loved the challenge of getting stronger. I was very competitive with my identical twin, and we liked to see who could lift more weight. I found Fitness Together and I loved the model of the business. I love how personal the setting of the business is. I get to meet smart and interesting people while trying to guide them to accomplish their fitness goals. My client’s levels of fitness vary so, it’s a good challenge that keeps the job fresh and exciting. I also love that I get to learn from my clients. Everybody is working professionals with life stories of their own. I love what I do, and I am glad I am in this profession.

In my free time you can find me lifting weights and hiking the beautiful state of Washington. I love meeting new people and occasionally grabbing a pint at a local brewery. I was born in the suburbs of Chicago, so I am always up-to-date with the Chicago Cubs and Bulls stats and games. I also am an avid skier, so I enjoy taking a trip to Colorado or Montana to ski the terrain. I am a cat person and have a fluffy cat named Wrigs who likes to make an appearance in zoom training. I love living in a state where I can do what I love to do.

I grew up playing basketball and soccer and considered myself a good athlete until I had my first weight room experience at the age of 16. I couldn't lift a barbell over my head. Extremely discouraged, I decided to dedicate my energy towards getting strong and healthy and I never looked back. Besides working as a Personal Trainer, I have worked as a Physical Therapy Aide for last 3 years. I loved helping the therapists rehab their clients back to good health. This has inspired me to get a special certification in exercise rehab, so I can continue to help clients meet their fitness goals while working with their injuries.

in my free time I like to
Binge watch Netflix shows of course. I also take advantage of the beautiful PNW hikes and trails. I enjoy cooking, playing video games, and I'm very much into everything basketball (maybe too much).

When I was younger, I truly believed I didn’t have the potential to be athletic. I was the kid falling off of horses, catching the basketball with their face, or tripping over their own feet. I began weightlifting with a personal trainer when I was 20 and, slowly, everything shifted within my mindset. Through persistent encouragement, my trainer revealed my hidden athletic potential, despite my firm belief that it just wasn’t in the cards for me. I realized that I was never un-athletic, simply uneducated and under-encouraged. As a trainer now, I understand how important a well-educated and supportive trainer is. As your trainer, I will strive to turn workouts from a chore to something you look forward to doing for yourself. I will make sure the exercises you are doing are performed safely and in line with your personal goals. We will implement small, sustainable changes in your lifestyle for lasting results, while having fun along the way. I’m excited to see what we can do together!

Inside of the gym, you will often find me honing my craft with powerlifting. I love pushing myself to see how strong I can be! Outside of the gym, I am most commonly spotted out and about trying to find good coffee, walking my dog, Bobie, or trying to find cool new sheets of glass for my stained glass projects.

Thanks to my dad, I started playing golf at the early age of 8. Playing golf throughout the years, I wanted to become a stronger player, I got involved in strength training and exercise through a trainer. During that time, I found my love for fitness. I realized how important exercise is, not just for my physical body but for my mental wellness. I gained a lot more confidence and felt stronger as an individual. Later, I went on to play golf in college. I decided to pursue my passion and recently graduated with a degree in Exercise Science. I can provide you with all sorts of tools and information that can help you achieve your goals. My favorite aspect of the process and the biggest thing I can provide is partnership and positive support. Your journey is such special challenge and I hope I am lucky enough to be a part of that journey. I am excited to share my knowledge and love to help others on their fitness journeys.

I am recently new to Seattle. I have always been an active person, but Washington has provided me with new hobbies to pick up. Since living here, I have gotten in to hiking and running. I also enjoy lifting and taking fitness classes like yoga or Pilates. I am a big foodie and like to go on food adventures. I also like to cook. My best dish is lasagna from scratch! Even though I can be a social butterfly, I am a part-time homebody. You can catch me on a Friday night snuggled up with my dogs, binging trash reality tv shows with a bag of Hot Cheetos in hand… It’s all about balance, right?
