There are moments that mark your life - moments you realize nothing will ever be the same.  Being 61 and feeling the aches and pains that sometimes go with age, along with the weight that creeps up over time, I decided to call Fitness Together.  I wanted to still keep up with my nine grandchildren and see them all graduate.

I have found with FT just being held accountable makes a big difference.  Knowing my personal trainer is there waiting on me has given me the help I needed to get started and keep going, not to mention feeling better physically and mentally.  The one-on-one with the trainer makes you feel like they are there to really help YOU.  They set up a plan with goals to be met.  Your trainer is right there with encouraging words to keep you going even when you think you can't go any more.  It's that personal touch.  I have a lot more energy throughout the day and my golf game has improved dramatically just having more strength.

I've learned how fitness helps every aspect of life.  There is no better way to boost your spirits than by setting and achieving goals.

When I was trying another go around of eating right and exercising on my own, something occurred to me.  I hire a financial planner to assist with my retirement funds; I get my hair cut by a trained barber; why shouldn’t I try to find someone with the proper training to help me with my exercise routine?  When I was referred to Fitness Together, Jeff and his staff helped me realize there was a lifestyle change that needed to be made, and this was not just another feeble attempt to lose 15-20 pounds.  The goal from day one was to teach me how to exercise and change those bad eating habits, so my body fat percentage can be returned to an acceptable level.  I can tell you that this change has “stuck” with me and I look forward to a lifetime of eating right and getting my daily exercise.  Thanks again Jeff for making this a lifestyle change and not just another diet or exercise plan!

I have been working with the trainers at Fitness Together for about a year now.  I had tried many times before to work out on my own, but I was never able to do it consistently because I lacked the discipline and motivation.  I knew I had to do something to improve my physical health.

The results have been everything I hoped for and more.  I have lost a considerable amount of weight and have developed muscle definition in areas where I had forgotten muscles existed.  My doctor is thrilled with the results, and I have gotten many comments about how much better I look.  Because I feel better, I also work better and am more productive.

The trainers at Fitness Together have made working out something that I actually look forward to.  Each time I go, I am challenged to move to a higher level, and the workouts are never the same.  They have me doing things I never thought I would be able to do.  I am now working toward running a 5K this year, something I never dreamed I would be doing.

I truly believe that the trainers at Fitness Together have helped me improve my quality of life and even prolong my life.  They have made it clear that my goals are their goals and they are willing to do whatever it takes to help me achieve those goals.

Thanks to Jeff, Aaron, Matt, and Jason.  I am in better shape at age 59 than I was at age 39.  I owe them a debt of gratitude for helping me improve my life.

I have always tried to exercise and eat well, but when my mother hit the "Alzheimer's wall" 2 years ago, I stopped taking care of myself and gained 30 pounds in a short amount of time.  Although I knew some of the right things to do, it was Fitness Together's personal involvement and professional approach that helped me get back on track to good health and positive results.

Not only have I lost 25 pounds in 6 months, but my strength has greatly improved and my outlook is great.  I have learned so much more than I thought I would.  I have made some great friends in the trainers I have used.  I really appreciate the variety I have learned from Fitness Together.  Today, I go to my "normal" gym 4 or 5 times a week to do cardio and strength training, and once a week I keep my appointment at Fitness Together to stay accountable and to keep learning.

For about 3 years I was pouring my heart into a job working anywhere from 60 to 70 hours per week which turned into eating a lot of junk food, not spending anytime to care of myself, and gaining a lot of weight. The problem wasn't that I didn't know what to do it was that I didn't have the accountability, discipline, and motivation to follow-through with what I knew. The other problem was that going to a regular gym was completely unattractive to me. Then I discovered Fitness Together and it all came together.

FT had expert trainers who really cared about my health and pinpointed my fitness and nutritional needs. They also gave me that accountability that was always missing as well as a close family atmosphere that made me feel I didn't want to let the trainers as well as myself down.

Prior to engaging Fitness Together, I had been disciplined in exercise, diet, etc.  Most of the exercise was aerobic (running and using an elliptical trainer).  My goal at FT is body tone and upper body strength and we are accomplishing that.  There’s no way I would have done that without the expert guidance/coaching from the FT professionals.  I’m impressed with the consistency of professionalism among all of the personal trainers, and the management of the operation.  A word of caution: be prepared to work hard when you’re there, they know no other way.

First of all, all of the people are friendly, knowledgeable, and do a great job on the workout.  In terms of success, I have lost 2-3 inches around my waist.  I am considerably stronger and always feel great.  The discipline and having a “coach” is what has made this successful for me.  Measurements also show I have replaced 10-12 pounds of fat with 10-12 pounds of muscle.  I will continue to train for the foreseeable future and highly recommend this to anyone.
