Jeff Frizzell

Owner

Jeff Frizzell is the owner of Fitness Together here in Springfield. He moved to Springfield in 2003 with his wife Amy and their daughter Piper. “I saw this move as an opportunity to end my successful career as a chef and restaurant manager and pursue my passions of athletics, health, and fitness.” Jeff was accepted into the highly competitive and nationally ranked Missouri State Sports Medicine and Athletic Training program. Under this program, Jeff acquired hands on clinical rehabilitation experience working with males and females of all ages and fitness levels. “This program not only gave me the knowledge of how the body works and how to help others attain their desired activity level, it put me on the front lines through clinical application. It is through this educational program that I realized how I can best direct my passions in a way to make a difference in individuals’ lives…and Fitness Together is my tool.” Jeff is a certified fitness trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association, dedicated husband, and father of two. He is a cycling fanatic who has competed on the amateur road racing level since age 13. Jeff knows all about the importance of setting personal fitness goals and how to attain them in a safe and efficient manner. “I get excited every time I have the opportunity to put my expertise to use for the benefit of others. All of us are blessed with certain talents and abilities and we are called to put them to good use.” Jeff Frizzell said, “This is my calling!”

Aaron Bridgers

Manager

Aaron has been enthusiastically involved in fitness and nutrition and a certified personal trainer for over 12 years. His most recent credentialing includes a Personal Training Certificate from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) along with becoming a certified sports nutritionist. Early in his career, Aaron specialized in strength and conditioning for athletes but now enjoys working with clients at all stages of life and physical abilities. In addition to training Fitness Together clients, Aaron enjoys coaching youth sports with local organizations and serving on the Games Management Team (GMT) for Special Olympics Missouri. Previous to Fitness Aaron owned and operated Bridgers Fitness Supplements. With this endeavor Aaron became a local expert on the importance of sound nutrition and its correlation with exercise for maximum results. He is truly comprehensive in his approach to health, wellness, and fitness and therefore exemplifies what Fitness Together stands for. “I really believe nutrition and fitness go hand in hand,” Aaron exclaims. “I think at times people will try to address one of these areas while neglecting the other. I like to be able to really bring about a whole life change for clients by addressing all aspects of personal wellness,” he adds. Aaron makes each training session beneficial, informative, goal specific, and most of all…FUN!

Shela Roles

Trainer

Shela is a certified personal trainer with the International Sports Science Association who believes in living a holistic, healthy lifestyle. Her passion for fitness is cultivated through personal and practical experience that she is excited to share with Fitness Together clients. “I lost 50 pounds and dropped 5 dress sizes…and have kept it off, Shela exclaims! She feels that diligent exercise, clean nutrition, and a healthy mental outlook are the keys for anyone to achieve their fitness goals. Shela is excited to motivate and encourage FT clients to transform their lives in a healthy and lasting way! “Our entire lives boil down to decisions. Will we decide to be healthy, fit, and active? Or will we decide to be complacent and effortlessly move through our time here, Shela challenges? She concludes, “it’s time to live intentionally, I’m here to help.”

Matt Justice

Trainer

Matt has been passionate about fitness all his life. He attended Kickapoo High School where he was very successful competing in basketball and golf. He has most recently graduated from Bryan College where he received his Exercise Specialist and Personal Training degrees. Matt earned income during his tenure at Bryan College working as Millwood’s Pro Shop Manager and now specializes in golf specific training here at Fitness Together. In addition to specializing in golf specific training, Matt is very knowledgeable and capable of training individuals of all fitness levels with varying fitness goals. Matt brings a positive attitude and high energy to each and every training session. He is very familiar with achieving his own personal fitness goals and works diligently to help others obtain theirs. Matt’s passion for fitness is most apparent each time he has the opportunity to train Fitness Together clients and play a role in improving their lives.

Jason Greek

Trainer

Jason is passionate about fitness and is a certified personal trainer with ISSA. His exercise experience includes successfully training for and competing in football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and track. Jason’s pursuit for athleticism carried him to Missouri Southern State University where he participated in the football and track programs. “I learned an incredible amount about strength and conditioning while training at MSSU. Their program was different from anything I had experienced and gave me an appreciation for alternative and customized training methods,” Jason states. Jason’s desire to put his knowledge to good use to help others attain the level of fitness he knows they’re capable of has brought him to Springfield and Fitness Together. He now attends MSU studying Exercise and Movement Science. “Fitness has always been a part of my life. I don’t see it as a job or a chore but rather a lifestyle I enjoy,” he says. Jason desires to instill that same passion for health and fitness in every Fitness Together client. He knows that by helping clients reach their fitness goals, he will help them live longer, be more productive, and live more confidently.
