Quest for Skinny Erika: Week 7

Quest for Skinny Erika: Week 7.
Not to brag too much or anything, but I really feel like I kicked it up a notch this week. I exercised six out of seven days last week, and when I hopped on the scale for my weekly weigh-in I really hoped my weight loss would reflect that.
And it totally did!
What I can take away from this is that increased effort leads to increased results. I exercised more, pushed myself in my work-outs more, and was rewarded for the extra sweat and effort by a nice big dip in my weight.
Of course, Jeff the trainer later rewarded my weight loss by making me do some excruciatingly difficult exercises, but there you go. Some people celebrate with cupcakes, Jeff apparently has a different rewards system in place.
It’s working, though. I’m learning more about physiology (the why of the exercises we do, which makes the how a lot easier to understand) and nutrition than I ever have before, and all of it is helping me toward my goal.
Speaking of goals, I’m officially one pound away from my pre-pregnancy weight and it feels awesome. I’m going to keep going once I hit my pre-pregnancy weight (I wasn’t exactly skinny when I got pregnant) but it’s nice to recognize the numbers on the scale again.
So that’s where I am in my weight loss journey. Learning that eating right and exercising more leads to weight loss.
Seriously, it sounds so obvious but when you’re making huge changes to your lifestyle and eating habits, it’s anything but. If I’ve learned anything during my journey it’s that the trainers at Fitness Together know what they’re talking about, and if you do what they tell you to, you will see results.
Here are my stats for this week!
Weight: 195 lbs. (I lost 3.2 lbs. last week!!!)
Waist: 40.75” (That’s another .75” off my waist!)
