Jay Clermont BS,CPT

Owner
Personal Trainer

I have been the owner of Fitness Together – Chelmsford since April 2007 and the Salem, NH location since June 2011. I have been working in the health and fitness industry for the past twelve years, after receiving my degree in Exercise Physiology from UMass-Lowell. Prior to owning the studio, I spent three years managing the wellness program for a large corporation, and was the manager of a multi-million dollar commercial health club previous to that. I am a certified personal trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine, with extensive experience working with special populations, including cardiac/pulmonary rehab patients, adolescents, elderly, and pre/post-natal women. I have also designed many sport-specific programs, specializing in golf conditioning.

I look forward to providing you with the specialized, one-on-one attention that you’ve come, or will come, to expect at Fitness Together, and I welcome the opportunity to work with you to meet and exceed your health and fitness goals. Jeff Thiboutot MS,CN,CPT

Personal Trainer/Nutritionist

I have over 16 years experience in the health and fitness field. I have undergraduate degrees in nutrition and behavioral sciences and a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. I am a certified nutritionist (CN) and a certified personal trainer (CPT). In 2009 I co-authored a weight loss book called SPEED: A complete how-to manual for quick & permanent fat loss.

I have a deep passion for what I do and I strive to give the best evidence-based information to my clients and base my recommendations on high-quality evidence. This means that clients will know and, hopefully do, things that will have a real impact on how they look and feel.

I have worked with hundreds of clients over the years. Many of them getting great results. I specialize in weight management (i.e., attaining & maintaining a healthy amount of muscle and fat), the psychology of eating and exercise (i.e., motivation & adherence) and general fitness (i.e., having the strength and stamina to do the activities you enjoy with confidence). I look forward to helping many more people reach their health and fitness goals.
