What to look for in a personal trainer
Education: A personal trainer should be certified through a reputable personal training organization
Experience: Make sure your trainer has experience, especially in relation to your goals. For example, if you're a bodybuilder, you want someone knowledgeable in that area.
A good listener: A good trainer will listen closely to what you say and make sure he understands your goals.
Attention: A good trainer will be focused only on you during your sessions.
Tracking progress: A good trainer will regularly assess your progress and change things if necessary.
Personality: Your trainer’s personality is important too since you'll be working very closely with this person. Make sure you get along with your trainer and feel comfortable asking questions.
Fitness Together in Parker, Colorado has been under Terry’s operation since opening in January of 2000
Terry is certified with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and has 16 years of experience as a personal trainer.
Terry is a skilled trainer with the ability to guide clients to a new level of physical and mental strength. Terry attended Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska where he received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a coaching endorsement.
It is his love and passion for exercise and fitness that has driven Terry to help others and guide them to a new level of physical, emotional and mental awareness in their lives.
We are pleased to welcome back to FT Parker Family Jason Anusbigian. Some of our long-term clients may remember Jason; he was an original trainer at Fitness Together when we first opened our doors. Jason is a long time friend and fellow alumni, like me, of Peru State College.
Jason brings an abundance of experience and knowledge to our team. He has a BS in Sports Management and is ACE, NSCA, CSCS, Kettlebell, and Olympic Weightlifting certified.
His outstanding resume includes 10 years experience including personal training, fitness director, rehab, weight loss, sports specific, strength training, aesthetic and nutrition. Jason also trains MMA, Jiujitsu, and Muay Thai. He returns to Colorado after training clients in Chicago, Seattle, Detroit and Houston.
Change creates an environment for growth and renewal. We are excited to bring new energy and commitment to our already high quality training. We want our clients to expect the best from themselves and the trainers at Fitness Together Parker.
Jay Graves is a Colorado native, born and raised in Denver. Jay is certified with the IFPA and has 20 years of personal training experience. He has trained clients the last 12 years at Fitness Together in Parker, Colorado.
Jay is also involved in coaching area athletes. He currently is the head football coach at Englewood High School and leads the track and field program as well.
Jay’s years of coaching shine through during his workouts with clients, he is focused, empathic, and a great motivator. Jay is also a proud veteran of the United States Navy, with 6 years of service.
