Getting Fit with Friends
Posted By: Stacy Rhea on 05/23/2011
Beginning a new exercise program can be intimidating, especially if you are walking into a huge gym with buff bodies parading around. As the newbie, you feel as though people are watching everything you do, maybe even judging you. If you are the slightest bit intimidated to to begin working out in a gym, consider another option: semi-private group training.
Most gyms offer exercise classes, with 12-20 people you don’t know. Fitness Together offers semi-private group training. With just two to four people per class, FT’s classes offer privacy and individual attention. In this setting you and your friends can schedule classes that fit into your personal schedule, not just the times the classes are offered.
Exercising with friends is a lot more fun and the support you need to stick to your fitness goals is shared and supported by your friends.
