Kenneth Robinson, LMT

Massage Therapist

Meet Kenneth Robinson, LMT, the newest addition to the Fitness Together team.  Kenneth is a Licensed Massage Therapist with 10 years of experience, including a psoition at the world-renowned Blackberry Farm, in Walland,TN. Kenneth is trained and certified by the Tennessee School of Therapeutic Massage in Knoxville.

Kenneth provides comprehensive massage services with what he calls an "intuitive touch". He  offers his Ultimate Signature Massage, which incorporates Swedish, deep tissue, sports therapy, Thai, and Neti facial techniques—tailored to each individual client’s needs.  If you want to try a truly unique and effective massage therpaist,you will LOVE a massage with him!

 

Randy Carr, M.S.

ACE Certified Personal Trainer

Randy joined the FT team in 2008 as client and was hired as a trainer in 2012. Randy currently trains at the Northshore studio. Randy received his M.S. in Health Services Administration from the University of St. Francis. Randy recently won the title "2012 Covenant Health's Biggest Winner" weight loss challenge and completed the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon in 2011 & 2012. Randy had Gastric Lap-banding surgery back in 2007 after a life long struggle with being overweight but soon realized post surgery that it was also necessary to exercise at a higher level to achieve results. Randy has a strong background in health care and teaching combined with his training in weight and nutrition management helps many clients relate to Randy's story. Randy provides a very thorough training program combined with nutrition tips and guarantees to provide a workout that is always challenging, motivating, and fun. When not training clients, Randy enjoys running 10K, Half and Full Marathons, snow skiing, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with his 11 yr. old son.

Amber Vitse, LMT, CN

Massage Therapist

Amber obtained a BA in Economics from Colorado College, then went on to pursue her passion in bodywork. Her massage training started 1996 in California at the Alchemy Institute for the Healing Arts, continued with a year of Osteopathy-centered study at Ohio University, and has been augmented with numerous continuing education courses. Neuromuscular Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Sports Massage, Ashiatsu, and Thai Yoga
Massage are among her specialty trainings. She has studied Anatomy and Physiology above and beyond the requirements for massage therapy training, which fuels her passion for excellence in musculoskeletal therapiesand stress reduction.

Andrew Henderson, M.S.

Owner FT-Northshore & FT-Hardin Valley, ACE Certified Personal Trainer

Andrew moved to Knoxville in 1995 to attend U.T., where he received his M.S. in Sport Psychology. An ACE - Certified Personal Trainer and Advanced Health and Fitness Specialist, Andrew has over 14 years of experience in the fitness industry. As owner of the Fitness Together Northshore and Hardin Valley locations, Andrew has instilled a culture where each client is treated on an individual basis and treated as family. His background in Sport Psychology proves to be valuable asset in developing motivational programs to keep our clients enthusiastic, motivated, and accountable. When not handling the duties of ownership and management, Andrew enjoys outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, skiing (both snow and water), reading, and taking his two dogs Dusty and Koko for runs at the park.

Rufus Ross, B.S.

Personal Trainer, Assistant Manager
B.S. Exercise Science, UTK

After a 1 year "break" from Fitness Together, much of which was spent with the Marine Reserves in Afghanistan, Rufus is back to deliver his special brand of tough love!  A graduate from the exercise science department at the University of Tennessee, Rufus combines his knowledge of human anatomy and physiology with the latest trends in fitness to deliver a consistently challenging and effective workout.  When not training clients, Rufus enjoys working out, watching UT athletics, and hanging out with his cat D-Mo.

Marco Castaneda, B.A.

ACE Certified Personal Trainer

Marco has a long history of helping others improve the quality of their life through better health. In addition to personal fitness training, Marco's experience both as a Mixed Martial Arts instructor and as a professor of Anatomy and Physiology gives him a broad perspective on how to best train the body for optimal function and health.

Originally from Ecuador, Marco has taught English as a Second Language to native Spanish speakers. When not furthering the knowledge of his clients and students, Marco enjoys training with the Hard Knox Combat Club and spending time with his wife and two sons.

Margaux Cowan-Banker, B.S.

ACE Certified Personal Trainer

Margaux joined the FT - Northshore staff in 2007 and has been a main contributor to our success. A graduate from the Exercise Science program at Carson Newman College and an ACE certified Personal Trainer, Margaux combines her knowledge of fitness with a easy going personality that provides a perfect fit for the client who has been "on the sidelines" for a while or who has medical considerations that may impact their ability to exercise. Her background as a collegiate Cross-Country runner enables her to "dial up the intensity" on her clients when needed. Margaux's attention to form, use of innovative exercises,and great personality keep our clients healthy, happy, and fit!

Shea Sims, M.S.

ACE Certified Personal Trainer

Shea joined the FT team in 2009 and currently trains at both the Hardin Valley and Northshore studios. Shea received her M.S. in Sport Psychology from the University of Tennessee. A former two sport collegiate athlete at North Greenville College in South Carolina, Shea's atheltic training background combined with her training in Sport Psychology helps to provide a workout that is always challenging, motivating, and fun. When not training clients, Shea enjoys playing softball, listening to music, and catching up on the latest in fashion and design.
