Hey! My name is Ryane Dunaway. I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and I am ACE Specialty Certified in Weight Management.
I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and moved to Hampton Roads with my husband in August, 2010. My husband has been serving our country, as a Marine, for the last 16 years.
Fitness and Nutrition have always been a part of my life, and in 2009 I made the personal decision to kick it up a notch despite having to handle a busy schedule and 3 children.
After making the move to Virginia, I found myself in the gym more and more. My passion, at the time, was weight lifting, but I was invited by a good friend to a group fitness class she had been taking. I met and talked with the trainer, and before I knew it was teaching classes for her. I thank God for the opportunity to work with people from all different activity levels, and LOVE watching them become the best version of themselves. I have felt BEYOND blessed to be able to blend my love for people with my passion for fitness and nutrition.
I am personally involved with Nutritional Education, Leading Small Group Fitness Classes, and improving my running skills. I'm very excited to be a part of the Fitness Together team, and I'm looking forward to watching YOU surpass your goals
Hey, my name is Kai Rossbach and I'm a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and CPR/AED certified through the American Red Cross. I was home schooled as a child until I graduated, but this never hindered my passion for sports and exercise. I had been involved in sports leagues throughout my adolescence which ultimately led to my love for fitness and conditioning. I personally believe that any fitness goal can be accomplished through determination in maintaining a healthy diet along with a consistent exercise program. Hi! My name is Jessica Welmerink and I am a certified personal trainer and Women’s Fitness Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I graduated with a Bachelors degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2010 and moved to Virginia in January 2011. I have been actively involved with athletics my entire life and most recently was a part of the University of Nevada Cheer and Stunt team.
I love to challenge and encourage clients to exceed their mental and physical boundaries by using proper exercise and sound nutritional planning. I am highly motivated and enthusiastic and delighted to be part of a program that can truly change people’s lives. At Fitness Together we feel strongly about your health and wellness and we are dedicated to work alongside you to help you achieve all of your fitness goals.
My name is Paul Clayton. I am a certified personal trainer through the National Federation of Professional Trainers and CPR/AED certified through The American Red Cross.
I am passionate about working with people and helping them achieve their fitness goals. I personalize professional fitness workouts that include sports specific training, strength training, boxing, flexibility, cardiovascular training, weight loss, nutrition and mental motivation.
In my spare time when I'm not coaching/training clients or exercising on my own I'm also a certified scuba diver through PADI and a privateer four-wheeler racer.
I truly believe that anyone can accomplish anything that they put their mind to with hard work and dedication. Health and fitness is not a day to day activity, it's a lifestyle! My name is Marieta Sugu and I am originally from Romania. I came to the USA four years ago through a Cultural Exchange Program. Ever since my teen years, I have been interested in exercising and maintaining a healthy spirit. As a consequence, I studied and pursued a degree in Physical Therapy. For almost two years, I worked as a Personal Trainer and Physical Therapist. During this time my goal was to contribute to helping my clients achieve their goals and expectations regarding good health. I’ve been certified as a Personal Trainer in the USA as well with Aerobic and Fitness Association of America. I would like to use my knowledge and experience to design the best fitness program to meet the needs of our clients in order to achieve maximum results. In my opinion a good workout is the most important ingredient of good health. My goal is to help our clients take all the steps needed to achieve a healthy lifestyle.
Hi, my name is Hillary Dunnegan. I was born and raised in rural Iowa, where I attended Iowa Wesleyan College and majored in Biology. Upon graduating college, I moved to Virginia with my husband, who is stationed in the US Air Force.
After having a serious conversation with my doctor in 2012 I knew I needed to make some serious lifestyle changes, specifically with my exercise routine. Even though I ran track and field in high school, I lost focus when I went to college. I immediately decided to train for my first marathon. During my 9 months of training, watching my own progress throughout the entire training program I realized how much I enjoyed getting back in shape. When race day came and I finished the race, it had occurred to me that anything is possible with commitment and hard work. During those 9 months I had become more confident with myself emotionally and physically. While beginning training for my second marathon, I had realized I COULD do this for a living and help others receive similar results of their own, feeling more confident physically and emotionally.
I am currently certified through FT and will have my (NASM) National Academy of Sports Medicine Personal Trainer Certification at the end of April 2014. I am also working towards earning my specialties in Fitness Nutrition, Corrective Exercise and Performance Enhancement. I enjoy a fun, relaxed, and encouraging environment. I want my clients to feel comfortable and enjoy their workouts, but I also want my clients to be challenged. I’m so excited to be part of the Fitness Together team and I’m looking forward to working with you.
Hello my Name is Andrea Macauda. I am a certified personal trainer and nutrition specialist through N.A.S.M. I have been working full time, customizing exercise plans for clients, for the past three years in Boston, Massachusetts.
I recently relocated back to Hampton Roads, where I attended middle and high school, to complete my Bachelors degree from Old Dominion University. I will graduate with honors and complete my education in Psychology and Exercise Science in May 2014.
I am passionate about helping people reach their health and fitness goals. I like to create a positive environment where my clients can feel comfortable, motivated, and empowered to make their vision become a reality. My practices with clients include: corrective exercise, weight loss, strength and tone, kettle bell technique, triathlon training, swim technique, kick boxing, flexibility, and nutrition assessment and meal planning.
When I’m not training with clients, you can find me exercising or surfing at the beach and spending quality time with friends. I’m originally from Virginia Beach and honored to be part of the Fitness Together Team in Norfolk. I also hold certifications in Kettle Bell training, Aerobic and Fitness group exercise, and Red Cross Water safety Instructor and swim coach. Hi, my name is Ryan Brod; my hometown is Las Vegas, Nevada. After graduating high school, I decided to join the U.S. Navy. While in the service, I worked as a Hospital Corpsman Preventive Medicine Technician. During my service, I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Touro University.
After serving the armed forces for over 8 years, I decided to leave and continue a career in the health care field. I began working as a medical assistant, while pursuing a route to a nursing degree.
As a strength and fitness enthusiast, throughout my life, I never thought about becoming a trainer, until I helped a dear friend of mine, put on muscle mass, while loosing over 20lb in 5 months, simply by asking him to follow my routine. To this day, he continues to thank me for changing his sedentary lifestyle. I soon realized how rewarding it was to help others become healthier and reach their fitness goals. My career move changed at that point and from that day forward, I knew I wanted to become a fitness trainer.
I am Certified as a Performance Enhancement Specialist & Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I continued my education and graduated with a master degree in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania (Go Vulcan's!) and currently volunteer at the cardiac rehabilitation in Sentara Leigh hospital.
I learned over the years that fitness is a way of life and a lifestyle change. I believe there is no better way to succeed at fitness, than hard work, good nutrition and most importantly, trust with a positive attitude. I am so excited to be part of the Fitness Together team and look forward to working with you.
