My name is Marieta Sugu and I am originally from Romania. I came to the USA four years ago through a Cultural Exchange Program. Ever since my teen years, I have been interested in exercising and maintaining a healthy spirit. As a consequence, I studied and pursued a degree in Physical Therapy. For almost two years, I worked as a Personal Trainer and Physical Therapist. During this time my goal was to contribute to helping my clients achieve their goals and expectations regarding good health. I’ve been certified as a Personal Trainer in the USA as well with Aerobic and Fitness Association of America. I would like to use my knowledge and experience to design the best fitness program to meet the needs of our clients in order to achieve maximum results. In my opinion a good workout is the most important ingredient of good health. My goal is to help our clients take all the steps needed to achieve a healthy lifestyle.
Hello, my name is Daniel Vazquez. I am a graduate from Old Dominion University with a degree in Exercise Science and a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I worked at the YMCA for two years, volunteered with ODU Strength and Conditioning for a year, and interned at Florida Atlantic University Strength and Conditioning for half a year. Exercise has always been a huge part of my life starting with my many years of soccer. As I grew older, I got involved with running track and weightlifting. It was when I broke my arm during a soccer game and went through the process of recovering, that I truly learned to appreciate my health and fitness. This led me to my passion for maintaining physical strength and helping others achieve it. There is no better feeling then watching someone progress both physically and mentally as they conquer their goals. Together we can work hard to reach your full potential and make life-changing progress. With the combined power of proper resistance training, cardiovascular health, and nutrition, anything is possible. Here at Fitness Together we will work 1-on-1 to make sure you get on the right track towards reaching your fitness goals. I look forward to working with and helping you take the steps to the new and healthier you.
Hi! My name is Rachel and I am a certified Health Fitness Specialist with the American College of Sports Medicine. In addition to working at fitness together, I also coach ice skating lessons in Virginia Beach. I graduated in 2011 from Old Dominion University with a master’s degree in Exercise Science. At ODU, I worked in the wellness institute with cardiac rehab clients and older adults. This experience has helped me to understand the specific obstacles for older populations and those with chronic disease. I also have a bachelor’s degree in education from Penn State University. When I graduated in 2008 from Penn State, I was not in good shape and I knew it. I decided to do something about it and started studying fitness and nutrition on my own. That decision made a huge difference in my health and energy level and motivated me to study exercise for a graduate degree. I am excited to help other people get into the best shape of their lives and discover their full potential. One-on-one personal training is one of the best ways to achieve the goals you have for yourself and your own personal health and wellbeing.
Hi, my name is Joyce VanOsdel and I am an American College of Sports Medicine certified Personal Trainer and part of the Fitness Together team.
Fitness is not just a job to me; it's a way of life and has been my life-saver. Although athletics have given me a lot of enjoyment over the years, it wasn't until my husband joined the Navy and we were given orders 3000 miles away from everything I knew, that fitness preserved my sanity. My husband was gone most of the time and I struggled to adjust to military life alone. I reached the point, when I realized, I was so miserable I either needed to change something or just give up. I wasn't ready to give up! So I began looking at my options. What did I have the power to change? The answer rang out loud and clear: ME! I couldn’t change my current ‘situation’ but I could channel my frustrations and disappointments into each work out. I finally felt strong, not vulnerable; powerful, not a victim. With a fit body and disciplined mind I was empowered to handle anything. The journey I’d traveled inspired me to enter the fitness field and help others take charge of the things in life they CAN change. I truly believe the toughest part of the journey is making the decision to start! You can become the person you want to be, and at Fitness Together I will coach, motivate, and guide you to results. Let’s win together.
Hello there! My name is Ashley Nalevanko. I was born and raised in Virginia Beach, but currently living in Norfolk. I have been a cheerleader since I was four years old. I cheered for many competitive squads as well as middle & high school. I was a walk-on for ODU cheerleading and cheered there for 3 years on a scholarship. Working out and maintaining a healthy lifestyle has always been a HUGE part of my life. I've also always had a passion for coaching and teaching. I began my journey at ODU pursuing Physical Education and graduated from Old Dominion University with a bachelors of science. After graduating in 2011, my dad suffered a heart attack. He was fortunate enough to have a minor surgery of a three stents placement. After such a tragic event, I began to realize how important exercise and healthy habits are in life and wanted the opportunity to help people learn and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I then went through W.I.T.S. (World Instructor Training school) program to become a certified personal trainer. During this time I realized my passion for exercise, health, and wellness was far greater than I could imagine.
Helping clients reach their goals, while coaching them through an exercise program that suits them best, is my true calling. Here at Fitness Together we will work 1-on-1 to reach your specific goals. As a personal trainer for Fitness Together I am positive that our team of trainers and I can lead you to a healthy lifestyle!
-Strength does not come from physical capacity; it comes from an indomitable will-
Hey, my name is Kai Rossbach and I'm a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and CPR/AED certified through the American Red Cross. I was home schooled as a child until I graduated, but this never hindered my passion for sports and exercise. I had been involved in sports leagues throughout my adolescence which ultimately led to my love for fitness and conditioning. I personally believe that any fitness goal can be accomplished through determination in maintaining a healthy diet along with a consistent exercise program. I love meeting new people and look forward to helping you achieve your fitness goals through fun and personalized workouts at Fitness Together! "Limits, like fears, are often just an illusion."
