Kristen Perry
General Manager
Kris graduated from Suffolk University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Public Relations. Leading a sedentary lifestyle during her college years – and jumping to a desk job for hours on end each day soon after – she realized she needed to make a change. After deciding to work with a trainer to learn about strength training and nutrition – and in turn, seeing the changes it made both physically and mentally – left her wanting to educate others about the benefits of both. After over five years of working in the corporate world of marketing and advertising, she realized her ultimate calling was to help coach others to meet their health and fitness goals.
She is now a graduate of “The National Personal Training Institute" (NPTI) and holds certifications as a personal trainer and nutritional consultant. Kris is also currently working on a second training certification under the “American Council on Exercise” (ACE). After starting her Fitness career with FT – North End last year as a fitness consultant and manager, Kris comes to Newburyport with experience working with a wide array of clients and has a strong passion for the Fitness Together system. Growing up in Rowley – and now back in the area taking over as the Newburyport manager - she’s thrilled to be working closely with clientele to assure they are receiving the proper tools to become fit, reach their goals, and maintain a healthy lifestyle

Randal Thomas
Head Trainer/Assistant Manager/Awesome Guy
Randal Thomas, a former New York State resident, has been a personal trainer for the past 10 years. He attended Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York. There he was a two sport athlete who excelled in both football and track. After receiving his B.A. in sociology from Hartwick College, he relocated to Massachusetts. His passion for athletics and physical fitness was a driving force for him to pursue the profession of personal trainer. He has worked with a variety of clients to help them meet their goals. These goals ranged from losing weight to building muscle mass. His easing going personality puts his clients at ease and encourages them to be consistent and productive with their workouts. He has worked with clientele ranging from 12 to 70 years old. Randal believes that everyone has the ability to reach and maintain a healthy weight and he is more than willing to help anyone reach their goal

Justin Garvey
Co-Owner/Trainer/Special Ed Teacher
Hello and let me introduce myself. My name is Justin Garvey and I am the proud owner of Fitness Together Newburyport. I have been with Fitness Together since 2006 as a trainer and I am very excited for Fitness Together to be part of the vibrant Newburyport Community.
I have been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2002 through National Strength Professional Association. I am also a member of I.D.E.A Heath and Fitness Association. Also, I have my Bachelors degree in Special Education and have taught for four years in Maryland Public Schools. I have been working with children and teens with special needs for the past 12 years in a variety of settings that include homes, child care centers, therapy centers, and classrooms. My years of teaching and training have taught me the importance of good modeling, a patient approach, positive feedback, and maximizing a person’s potential.
When I am away from the studio, I enjoy spending time with my wife Michelle. We have two energetic kids Ava and Eoin. Our family loves going to the beach, and many other outdoor activities. Some of my personal hobbies include surfing, fishing, and playing sports. I am looking forward to learning about fishing in Massachusetts and finding some nice surf spots on the coast. I am very excited about having the chance to be part of such a wonderful community and having the opportunity to help others work towards achieving their own fitness goals.
