KAY THIELE
Mother of the Groom
How good does it feel to lose 25 pounds and be in great shape? Kay Thiele can tell you.
At her son's recent wedding in Sugarland, Texas, she was mistaken for her husband Roger's new trophy wife. "I hadn’t seen a lot of these people in a while, but the minute they saw me they were like, ‘Wow! What have you been doing,'” Kay says. “That was a lot of fun. The comments just assured me that all the hard work was worth it.”
Kay has been a client at Fitness Together-Brentwood for two years, but her son's nuptials motivated her to work even harder. "I lost about 10 pounds when I started at FT," Kay remembers. "But I wasn’t really paying attention to what I was eating, and I wasn't losing much weight. After starting Nutrition Together last March, I've lost almost 25 pounds.”
A school librarian at Stratford High School, Kay says she is amazed at how much stronger she is and how much more energy she has. Her trainer, Edward Morton, says that's because she works hard in and out of the studio. "Kay is driven," he says. "She's willing to listen and learn, but she's also one of those rare clients who is willing to do what it takes on her own to achieve her goals."
A mother of two, Kay says she's not stopping yet. Her next big goal is to lose 25 more pounds before her firstborn's graduation from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston next May. We have no doubt she'll make it!
