Michael Keenan

C.F.T./Co-Owner

Mike Keenan has practiced in the field of Health and Fitness for over 20 years. As a high school and college athlete, Mike understood the importance of focusing on goals to accomplish dreams. “A goal is a dream with a date on it”.

Mike is a Graduate of SUNY Cortland, with a degree in Physical Education and Athletic Training. Mike became a NATA Certified Athletic Trainer in 1987. Mike then attended graduate school at the University of Buffalo on a graduate assistantship, where he taught in the undergraduate physical therapy program and served as an athletic trainer.

From 1989-1994, Mike served as the Director of Athletic Training and Sports Performance Training for a large Long Island Physical Therapy practice, where his primary responsibility was to recondition professional and amateur athletes for return to play. These athletes ranged from high school athletes to those of the NY Saints Lacrosse Team and the NY Islanders Hockey Team.

In 1994, Mike “switched gears”, and went to work in the field of Medical Fitness, assisting those with injuries and illness to recover and return to the fitness lifestyle.

As owner for Fitness Together of Manasquan, Mike’s primary responsibility is in the area of Evaluation and Exercise Prescription. Continuing education for his staff is something Mike takes pride in as well.

Susan Keenan

Susan Keenan began her personal journey of health and fitness in her basement. It wasn’t long before she realized that she wanted to share her enthusiasm with others. Susan received her Personal Training certification through ACE and worked with clients at The Club at Woodbridge before opening of Fitness Together with her husband, Mike. As part of Susan’s continuing journey, she received Advanced Certification in Applied Exercise Science through Intrafitt and most recently completed her certification as an Intrafitt Nutritional Consultant. Susan looks forward to increasing awareness of the importance of nutrition in adults and children. Susan is a mom of 2 children and is more excited about health and fitness than ever!

Maureen “Mo” DeMaso

Mo joined our team in August 2008 because she wanted to work one-on-one with her clients in private suites instead of working in a wharehouse style gym. Mo brings many years of experience in long distance running, hiking, Pilates and Bikram Yoga. She specializes in instructing clients in weight training, pilates, endurance training and running specific training. Mo’s certifications include AA Social Science, W.I.T.T. Personal Training, Madd Dog Spin instruction, NASM Group Fitness and Penn Foster Nutrition and Fitness.

Bob Johnson

Bob‘s diverse background brings a great perspective to personal training. In 1997, after 10 years of service, Bob was discharged from the US Navy. He graduated from Georgian Court College in 2003 with a B.A. in Psychology and Elementary Education. Bob received his Personal Training certification through The National Academy of Sports Medicine. He is an avid skier, mountain biker, road cyclist and runner and intends to become a triathlon competitor. Bob’s derives great rewards from working with his clients and helping them achieve their goals.
