Let’s face it.  Getting in shape and being healthy isn’t always easy.  Most of us want results, but do not want to work for them. As a result, we have a tendency to say to ourselves, “I’ll start tomorrow.”  Days pass by, even months and years, and we still haven’t started working towards our goals.  As a former college athlete, I know first-hand that we sometimes need a bit of guidance and inspiration to get started and to stay motivated.  That is exactly what I am here for.  I want to help people understand that “tomorrow” is finally here, and with a little hard work and dedication, clients can finally start living the lives that they always dreamed of.

While in college, I played as a runningback for a division IA football program and was honored to hold the title of team captain.  Throughout my four years there, I realized that I had a deep passion not just for sports, but also for the health and fitness realm.  As a result, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion, as well as completed an extensive internship with the director of strength and conditioning, Trent Greener, (who formerly held the same position at UW).  Through that experience, I was able to work both one-on-one and in group settings, helping my clients develop work out plans that best suited their needs, goals, and lifestyles.  In addition, I was able to offer nutritional advice to help supplement their desire for complete wellness.  I hope that I can do the same for you!

Although I believe that no results can be achieved without hard work, I am also a strong advocate that physical exercise should be rewarding and fun.  As a result, I like to adjust my daily routines for clients based not just on their physical goals, but also on what makes them feel comfortable.  For this reason, I am able to help train people of all ages, abilities, and lifestyles.  If you are ready to get the motivation and expertise you need to become healthy, then come on in and meet one of us at Fitness Together!  And remember…”Some people dream of success... while others wake up and work hard at it.”  -Author Unknown

Darius earned his B.S. in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from the University of Wyoming and has been a team member since 2010.

What is most important to you?  Does living your life to the fullest and feeling great each and every day top your list of significance?  Then do we have a place for you!

My name is Bri and I love helping to educate people on the little things in life to do that keep us feeling and looking younger!  Staying active and eating balanced are the key ingredients to an amazing recipe for a full and rewarding life!

I have been active in sports just about my whole life, from rec and club soccer to high school and college gymnastics!  I love playing sports and being competitive, along with being part of a team.  There is something about having another person or team working with you that drives each of us to push just that much harder than we would on our own.  I love the feeling after a good workout and working up a sweat because I feel that I have accomplished something.

My philosophy for training is to build a strong core first, because without that the form and balance for other exercises could be compensated.  Each person is different, thus has different needs, but by using proper form and technique we can get stronger and balance out the body.  There are ultimately 4 areas that I work on with my clients; Core, Balance, Strength, and Endurance.

I believe these four areas encompass total body health and wellbeing.  I absolutely love what I do and love to help people accomplish their goals.

Trainer Brianna joins us with a degree in Exercise Science from Seattle Pacific University where she was the Women's Gymnastic Team Captain.  She has been an FT team member since 2011.

Being involved with sports most of my life, I am familiar with setting and achieving many different types of fitness goals.   I played 7 years of club soccer, 3 years of high school soccer, and 2 years of club and high school basketball. During the years playing club soccer I was exposed to year round training and was on a premier league team that was one of the top 8 teams in Washington State.  It was this history of setting and meeting athletic goals that inspired me to pursue a college degree and career in the health and fitness industry.

Growing up an athlete, it was my experience as an intern at Hilton Head Health Institute, (a premier weight loss spa and resort on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina), that truly developed my passion for working with a more diverse clientele.  While completing my internship I worked with men and women of all ages, shapes, sizes, and fitness levels.  Participating in fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle management department rotations I was immersed in a holistic approach to health and wellbeing; an approach I work to instill in every individual I work with.

I enjoy using my energy and enthusiasm to help cultivate passion for health and fitness among those who need that extra push and support.  Helping people succeed and reach their fitness goals is the part of the fitness industry I love the most.  Whether your focus is weight loss, increasing muscle mass, strength, toning, or improving your cardiovascular fitness, we at FT will assist you along your journey of finally experiencing the results you’ve always wanted.  We will help you see and feel the results you’re looking for.

The importance of setting attainable goals cannot be expressed enough. Every session is personalized to address your individual needs, goals, and limitations. Dedication is necessary to succeed in all aspects of life, including fitness and health. Our knowledgeable and passionate staff will have you motivated and looking forward to your next personal training session.

Laura has a B.S. in Exercise Science from Central Washington University with a minor in Nutrition and Athletic Training.  Laura is a Certified Personal Trainer through American College of Sports Medicine and is also a Certified Group Fitness Instructor through American Council on Exercise.  She has been an FT team member since 2011.

My passion for health and fitness stems from my childhood and years of competitive soccer, basketball and track. Being active and constantly challenging myself became a way of life for me and that drive for a challenge has followed me into adulthood, leading me to compete outside of organized sports by participating in full and half marathons. By using my own experience as a competitive athlete, I want to help individuals set realistic goals that can be achieved through hard work and dedication. Fitness to me means overall health, including a balanced and nutritional diet. I want to help clients transform from the inside out.

Coming into the fitness industry with two years of experience working in the field of physical therapy, I understand the importance of focusing on the fundamentals of proper movement and form, often beginning with the core.  By focusing on these fundamentals, I am able to provide clients with a solid foundation to avoid injury and set them on the right track for achieving their fitness goals in the future. My experience in the clinical setting also allows me the opportunity to work with clients who might otherwise think a strength training routine is not possible due to prior or current injuries.

To me, the foundation of any good relationship should be one of trust and encouragement. The relationship that I aim to establish with each of my clients in the fitness setting is no different. Although beginning something new can be intimidating, and the fear of failure overwhelming, the feeling of success is something that cannot be paralleled. It is my goal to motivate and challenge each of my clients to accomplish something they once thought unattainable. I hope to use my knowledge and passion for fitness to allow each of my clients to feel the overwhelming excitement that health and happiness can provide in their life!

Trainer Ashley earned her BS in Psychology from WSU, has her Personal Training Certification, and completed a working apprentice program with FT. Ashley has been an FT team member since 2011.

Health and Fitness have been passions of mine for as long as I can remember. I grew up playing sports, but it was the little things along the way (like ordering a glass of milk as a kid during dinner when all my friends would order a coke), that molded me into the fitness nut that I am today. After graduating from college I then became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist – training athletes for performance enhancement during the next 5 years. I have shifted gears a little since then, and currently teach weight training, physical fitness, and body conditioning classes at North Seattle Community College.

I joined Fitness Together's team of trainers in 2008, and have been very pleased to be working alongside other knowledgeable, passionate, and professional individuals. I enjoy working with an array of clients – all ages, abilities, and experience levels – as I feel my passion and knowledge can influence and improve anyone interested in fitness.

Whether you’re a high level athlete preparing for your next event; someone looking to decrease body fat and/or gain lean muscle mass; improve energy levels, balance, posture, flexibility, strength and endurance; reduce or prevent injuries, or even prepare for a physique competition (I just completed my 3rd natural bodybuilding contest- achieving my personal best), together we can achieve your goals.

Jon has a B.S. in Exercise Science from Western Washington University and also obtained a CSCS certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and has been a team member since 2008.

My interest for fitness started at a young age when I began to compete in athletics. After spending the majority of my life as an avid basketball and soccer player, I developed a sedentary lifestyle while attending college to pursue a BA degree in education. As a result of my 30 lb weight gain and recognizing the health concerns in my family history, I rededicated myself to fitness and living a healthier lifestyle. With exercise and a passion for fitness, I was able to lose the weight and was also an encouragement to my family, most of all, my mother.  After losing almost 40 lbs, she told me she had never been happier and healthier in her life. Seeing how this changed my mom’s life, she became an inspiration and a big part of me realizing what I was called to do.

For the past eight years I have dedicated myself as a trainer, sharing my experience, knowledge and love for physical fitness. My vision to helping others is just beginning. Since moving to management my role is to listen and understand clients needs, and help the training team help them make attainable goals, keep them safe, stay motivated and most importantly having FUN while doing it.

“Fitness, Health and People are my passion. I get the opportunity to help improve people’s lives everyday. Nothing is more rewarding than that.”

Rebecca has been with Fitness Together since 2006 and at the Madison Park Studio since 2011.
