Pack Training ROCKS! I had lost a lot of weight & still wasn't pleased with myself. Pack Training has made me leaner, firmer, stronger & my clothes fit better. The small classes mean lots of personal attention from the trainers & great camaraderie with the other participants. Back, neck & knee problems kept me from pushing myself too hard, but after 2 months of Pack Training using increasing weights, I haven't had any injuries. The trainers get the credit for making sure I use the proper form & technique. Every workout is different which keeps my interest up. Plus, I can work out beside my husband without feeling 'out performed'. I'm working out 3 times a week & loving it.
Over three years ago, I took the bold step and placed the call to Fitness Together. That call started the beginning to a path of improvement in my overall health and fitness. I had tried the exercise circuit developed especially for women, joined the local gym, and talked with the trainers at the rec. centers. All of these were not what I was looking for; I needed more - a challenge to push myself. This challenge was found with the 1-1 session that are tailored for my specific needs. Scott is attentive, focused and demanding. Throughout the workout sessions, I am aware of my strengths and weaknesses and Scott is always encouraging me to ‘do just two more’!
The sessions also include informative discussion on healthy eating, setting goals and making changes in my daily routines to support my goals. I truly look forward to my workouts!

"I became interested in personal training because I had recently become overweight and unfit due to a combination of heavy work commitments, poor diet and little exercise. I made several attempts at training by myself, but none were successful. I found that I did not have the time or the motivation to join a gym so I decided to try having regular "appointments" with a personal trainer at Fitness Together in Louisville, Colorado.
My personal trainer, Evan, has worked with me for the last two months and within that short time period, I have formed the opinion that Evan is an excellent personal trainer. "Scott Strini at Fitness Together has changed my life. Two years ago, I was a size 38 waist, heading towards a size 40. Now, I wear size 34 jeans. Q & A with Karen Schroeder
What were some of the most important goals you wanted to tackle in working out personal trainer and co-owner Matt Oster?
I started working out soon after high school on and off through the years. Around my mid thirties I found out that I had type two diabetes and started to really ramp up my workouts. I hired a couple of the trainers at the gym I worked out at and one of the trainers had me lifting too much weight more then I should have been lifting causing me to injure my shoulder which took three months to recover from.. After I recovered I worked out with a different trainer who taught me proper form and how to use the equipment correctly. I continued to work out at the gym after my training sessions were done and figured out a pretty good routine (one that I was seeing results from).
We heard that even with an injury, you were determined to compete in the Tough Mudder. How has building muscle and consistently using weight training improved your life?
Last year I decided to do the Tough Mudder and realized that my routine was not going to get me where I wanted to be to do the race and finish well. A friend of mine suggested that I check out Fitness Together since it was so close to work. I called made an appointment with Scott, set up a consultation to talk to him about my goals. Within a few days Scott asked if I wanted to start training stating he had a trainer that was perfect for what I was trying to achieve.
That is when I meet Matt Oster. I have to admit at first I was like, “oh jeez another young cocky trainer, but after initially talking to him I realized I hit the jack pot with this one!” He maybe young and cocky but he really knows his stuff. I am not just talking about the training part of it but about the whole package. He knows the body from head to toe and how the body works, nutrition, injury support, always stressing correct form when performing an exercise, how important stretching and recovery are and how important it is for me to understand what I am doing and to ask questions.
What types of new experiences have you been involved with over the past year since improving your energy and building a new routine?
My experience with Matt and Fitness Together has been a life changing experience. In the weeks I have been training my body has changed significantly that you would never know that I am in my 50s and gave birth to two children. Matt has a personality that has “endeared” me to him and I can say is genuine. There are few people in my life that inspire me, Matt is one of them. Matt is my trainer and now has become a dear friend to me. I can honestly say I would not be where I am today physically if it hadn't been for Fitness Together and Matt Oster.
Fitness Together is the perfect place to address your fitness needs. I have been a client at FT for the past 6 years, and will be as long as I live near a studio! The concept of one-on-one fitness instruction in a private studio gym that would address my specific fitness needs really appealed to me. I had previously sustained several injuries to my back, neck and shoulder that left me hesitant to start weight training. However, within weeks of working with my personal trainer, I felt stronger, healthier and was in less pain than I had been in years! The recent addition of Group “Pack” four-on-one training has been a wonderful addition. The energy, variety of work outs and camaraderie make the pack classes a blast. Offering a combination of one-on-one training and pack training provides you wonderful variety, personalized work outs and the attention of a personal trainer. Fitness Together is definitely the fitness place for me and you!
I am an almost 70-year old woman who has always been fairly physically active.
I’m up for trying almost anything but was intimidated at the thought of weight
lifting and more-so about having a “personal trainer”. That sounded like what muscle
men would do.
But I have a friend who has belonged to Fitness Together for about 7 years and was
convinced that I would like it. After years I finally tried it. My goodness.....I like
going, I like feeling strong, I like Matt (my trainer), and I have fun in the PACK
group. Try it.....you’ll like it!
Fitness Together is a lot of things to me. Two days a week I work with Evan 1:1, and two days a week I attend Pack workouts taught by Matt. Having an appointment holds me accountable! I have been going to FT for over 7 years and continue to benefit from the varied workouts, positive attitudes, and personal attention. Though weight loss is not my goal, I have received valuable nutrition guidance for a healthier diet. I am 64 years old and stronger than I have ever been. There is a lot of personal satisfaction in that. Oh, and did I mention the wonderful friendships? The trainers and clients I have gotten to know are part of my life and have more than once had my back. At one point through family illness and loss, the workouts were essential in helping me stay healthy and fit in order to help others. FT is really a great concept, and FT Louisville is made successful by the professionalism, enthusiasm, knowledge, and the personalities of Scott, Evan and Matt!
