When I couldn’t carry my laundry upstairs without breathing heavily, I knew it was time for a change. I had seen ads for Fitness Together on early morning television because I wasn’t sleeping well. My husband and I met with Joel and got started together. Under the guidance of trainer Matt Pithers and with some sensible changes in my diet, I have lost 70 pounds and have gone down 10 dress and pants sizes. My husband and I are leaving on a cruise and I can not wait to wear my new shorts, t shirts and bathing suits that I had to purchase for our trip. The staff at Fitness Together is considerate, knowledgeable and encouraging. The work outs that Matt has designed especially for my husband and I have left us thinner, toned and healthier. I can take those stairs two at a time now without a second thought and I sleep great at night.

Everyone is very professional and my trainer makes the workout fun while pushing me hard.I have lost 30lbs since I first began working out here and have kept it off for the past 4 years. PACK Training
Pack training gives you a specialized workout but in a group setting. Various fitness levels exist in these groups, yet each person can adjust the difficulty level accordingly. I always leave my pack session feeling like I have accomplished something. And the next day I know that I have because I am sore!

Upon retiring over two years ago I made the commitment to lose weight, and become healthier. After more than a year of trying it on my own, I hit a plateau, and was becoming very frustrated. With the encouragement of my husband, who has been a Fitness Together client for years, I met with Joel Harmon who explained the program and what it could do for me. I started working out 2-3 times weekly at Fitness Together 10 months ago, and have not regretted it one day! I confess I was a little nervous and hesitant at the beginning since this was my first formal workout experience. The friendly staff quickly put me at ease. With the support, encouragement, and expertise of my personal trainer, Jenny Schmidt, so far I have lost an additional 20 pounds and have improved my overall body composition, but more importantly I have gained confidence. I like that Jenny pushes me harder than I would push myself and explains proper technique so that I get the most out of each session. I now receive compliments, like “You look great!” or “What ARE you DOING!?”, from friends and relatives who haven’t seen me for a while. I have more energy to do the daily chores around the house. After many years of focusing only on what the scale told me, I now realize a combined approach of diet and exercise, which includes strength training, balance, and cardio, leads to a healthier, more productive life. I came into this experience wanting to be motivated, encouraged, and challenged. I was able to find all of those things and more! The trainers here are knowledgeable. And they make you want to do your best in order to achieve your goals. I have gotten stronger, increased my endurance, and gained confidence that has overflowed to all areas of my life. So far I’ve lost about 38lbs, 8% bf and a lot of inches! This has been, hands down, the best choice I’ve ever made for myself.

I was very hesitant to get started with Fitness Together. Even when I started with Fitness Together, I was very nervous. Almost immediately, I was comfortable with the 1on1 training. I feel better and stronger. I don’t know the exact amount of weight or body fat lost, but I can tell by the way my clothes fit that I am in much better shape. The overall experience has exceeded my expectations, and I am really glad I overcame my reluctance
