I always felt conscious about going to a conventional gym because of my weight. Like everyone else, I did not pay attention about my health much because of my very busy and demanding schedule. I saw food as a reward. I simply let myself go. I always thought that I was not that heavy, but in truth I was. That changed when I got diagnosed with pre-diabetes. It was definitely a wakeup call!
When it came time to look for a gym, I’m very pleased that I found Fitness Together! Their approach is very holistic and personable. They have excellent and caring trainers, who are definitely invested in your health. They even encourage their clients, without being pushy, to rise above their health expectations. Nick encouraged me to run. He even called some of their clients to run with me. Last fall, we ran the Grouper half marathon! I am now a hundred pounds lighter - the healthiest I have ever been.

I chose Fitness Together because I was working with Nick at my old gym. Even though it is thirty minutes from my home, it is well worth my time. The studio is absolutely beautiful and has everything I need and more. My goal when I started was to lose 8-10 pounds and get toned arms for my wedding in three months. Not only did I get toned arms, but toned everything else! I toned muscles I didn’t even know I had! I lost 15 pounds and I feel better than ever! I felt like an absolute princess at my wedding...all thanks to Nick and Nicole. Nicole definitely whipped my abs into shape! The training at Fitness Together is TOP NOTCH! There were days I felt I wasn’t pushing as hard as I could, but would wake up the next day, sore as hell! I always recommend Fitness Together. People have definitely noticed the difference in me. I am a walking billboard!

My success at Fitness Together has been amazing! Since I started training at Fitness Together I have lost a total of 30 lbs. Not only did I lose the weight, but I have kept it off. I am wearing clothes that I haven’t worn in years. Everywhere I go, people tell me I’m shrinking away!

Once I hit my forties, I discovered that my body doesn’t respond to training the way it used to. Good nutrition and my usual exercise regimen were no longer keeping me as fit as I wanted to be. I had tried a running program to train for a half marathon, and although the running wasn’t difficult for me, I still hadn’t dropped the extra weight in my trouble spots. Personal training at Fitness Together has made all the difference. Nick crafted a training program to fit my body’s unique needs. With focus on core strength and balance, I have become stronger from the inside out. As my endurance has increased, I’ve shed those stubborn last pounds, and I’ve never felt more ready to take on the challenge of a marathon. An unexpected bonus of the core training program has been a noticeable increase in stamina and dexterity within my massage practice. Impressed with my higher energy and weight loss, the whole family has been joining me at Saturday morning boot camps for a great workout that encourages us to compete against our own personal best. Thanks to Nick and Nicole, I feel confident that I’m stronger and smarter than ever before- age really is just a state of mind!

Fitness Together has helped me by providing the 1 on 1 experience. They make sure you stay completely focused on your goals. They are there to help and guide you, but it is up to you to do your homework and follow the meal and cardio plans thoroughly, that’s key. I can say now that I am probably in the best shape I have been since I was fifteen years old. That has translated to a better quality of life. For example, I usually play soccer with guys on their 20’s and although I have passed the 30 years barrier I am in better shape than most of them so I can really concentrate on playing the game versus worrying whether or not I’d be able to keep their pace.
