Hi Russ,  

I wanted to share with you my progress for the last seven weeks.   In January I received a letter with lab results from my Endocrinologist.  My cholesterol was extremely high and he wanted me to schedule an appointment to discuss intensification of my medication regime. 

Since I was already taking a hand-full of medications for various issues, I was a little annoyed at possibly taking more.  That’s when I finally made the call to Fitness Together.  I scheduled my appointment and signed up for the 3-month, 3-day per week training.  I had an appointment on March 2nd for follow-up. 

I am shocked at the improvement in seven weeks.  Following are my January numbers and March numbers.   JANUARY Cholesterol  312 HDL – 72 – should be below 39 LDL – 216 – should be below 99 Fasting Glucose 102 – usually higher when not fasting   MARCH Cholesterol  224 – dropped 88 points HDL – 59 – dropped 13 points LDL – 138 – dropped 78 points ! Fasting Glucose 95 – NORMAL !  It hasn’t been normal in years, always borderline diabetic.  

I go back to the doctor the end of April, and if it continues like the last seven weeks, then I will really be in good shape.   Thanks to Heather for keeping me on task, and encouraging me to increase my “personal best” when training.  Thanks to all of you at Fitness Together with your encouragement in obtaining my goals.   Sincerely,   Lynda Duke

Except for that one horrific 2 hour experience in college, I had never been inside a gym in my life until I walked into Fitness Together.  From the day I saw the logo (1 Client, 1 Trainer, 1 Goal) on the sign I said to myself, that looks like where I need to be.  Every step of the way the Fitness Together coaches have been supportive and a source of encouragement and accountability for me. 

Since starting my fitness program with Fitness Together I have lost 14 inches off my waist down from a size 44 to 30, lowered my blood pressure 30 points, and melted away 50 lbs of fat!

My original goal was to go to my first physical on my 45th birthday and not get put on blood pressure medicine.  We accomplished that the first 3 months of my program.

The major differences I’ve noted are just what the Fitness Together crew told me to expect. I no longer tire easily so I have more energy throughout the day. I am now completely aware of the fact that my body never required as much food as I was stuffing into it.

I now eat healthier, I eat ‘normal food’ and I do not feel in anyway deprived.  Instead, I feel like I am now eating smart – the way my body is supposed to function – and there is even plenty of overhead for the occasional cookie or donut!

Oh, one more thing.  I have now completely changed out my wardrobe – twice.

I can’t say ‘Thank You’ enough to Russ, Bill and the entire Fitness Together Team and the major life change you have helped me accomplish over the past 20 months.  I can’t wait to see where we are in 20 more!

After turning the big 40 and losing my mother at such a young age of 59, I decided it was time for me to get into shape. I was also diagnosed with sleep apnea the prior year so I had all the motivation in the world to change my lifestyle. I signed up for a Weight Management Program through my company, which included personal training.  I had the option to choose any accredited personal training facility. After meeting Russ and his Team of fitness coaches, I was sure that Fitness Together was the right place for me. I preferred early morning sessions to start my day off completely different than I ever have before.

I worked out for 26 weeks and dropped over 50 lbs. and have completely transformed my body and my health.  I learned how to make working out fun. My trainers taught me how to eat, when to eat and what to eat in order to replenish my body and to trim the fat. The good habits I learned from the Fitness Together Team I will never forgot. I continue to work out every day and continue to transform my body. My blood pressure is normal, my cholesterol dropped 50 points, and no more Darth Vader mask (CPAP) at night!

Fitness Together gave me back my once active lifestyle.  Many years of a busy work schedule and thoughtless nutrition resulted in a weight gain, which made exercise a painful chore.  I had tried to lift weights on my own, but it was only after starting at Fitness Together that I learned to work out smarter not harder. 

 

In 8 months of working out at Fitness Together twice a week, I lost 35 pounds of fat and added significant amounts of lean muscle.  My personal trainer taught me to schedule fitness with the same significance that I scheduled appointments at work.  He also taught me the invaluable support role of nutrition to any fitness plan. 

I am now able to play basketball, hike, and run in the park, without sore knees and ankles for days afterward.  I feel better than I have in 15 years and I have set a new goal to run a marathon before my 40th birthday.  Fitness Together showed me how short term discipline guided by the accountability from my trainer, makes long term goals a reality.

I have been at Fitness Together Johns Creek for over a year and the experience has been fantastic.  I am always enthusiastically greeted every time I walk in the door.  The workouts are always intense and exciting!  I have lost 10 pounds, 3 percent bodyfat, and 2 inches off my waist!  I am 67 years old and in the best shape of my life!  I know for a fact that I could not have done that on my own.  My fitness coach, Thomas, consistently gives me great energetic workouts and sound nutritional guidance.  My results were enhanced even more when I signed up for Nutrition Together.  The 1-on-1 nutrition sessions are excellent and even customized to my individual needs. Since adding in the nutrition sessions I am losing about 2 lbs a week!  I actually look forward to each of my training sessions at Fitness Together and I never miss. I love it because it is my time and all about me!

Serious Results In Only 8 Weeks!

I came to Fitness Together with an urgent request – I had only eight weeks to lose enough weight to fit into my suit for a black tie event.  The nutrition guidelines and workout plan provided by the Fitness Together staff produced amazing results for me –  I lost sixteen pounds and 5 inches off my waist in the first eight weeks and showed marked improvement in both strength and cardiovascular fitness! 

As a busy professional with a working wife and two small kids, the best thing to me about the Fitness Together concept is that it makes the most efficient use of my limited time.  No wandering around a gym trying to figure out what equipment to use or doing the same old boring routine.
