RUSS YEAGER, CFT, CPA, IBNFC NUTRITION CONSULTANT

Owner, Fitness Together Dunwoody and Johns Creek

Whether it was basketball, weight training, karate, or mountain biking, Russ has always had a passion for fitness. Russ has a BSBA and a Masters in Accountancy from Auburn University. He earned his CPA at the age of 23 and has eight years of experience working in both public and private accounting. In 2002, Russ was named Class Champion in an International Physique Transformation Contest. It was during this event when Russ realized his calling was to help others enjoy the benefits of regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle. In 2003, Russ launched his www.russyeager.com website and has helped thousands of people all over the world lose body fat, get stronger, healthier, and increase energy for family, friends, and business. In 2006, Russ decided to combine his passion for fitness and his business background to create an exclusive one-on-one personal training studio in Atlanta, GA. This vision became a reality when Russ teamed up with Fitness Together, the world leader in personal training, and opened Fitness Together - Norcross in December 2006. In just over 1 year Russ added two more Fitness Together studios in Alpharetta and Dunwoody, along with 16 Fitness Coaches and several hundred clients. Russ is certified through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) as a Certified Fitness Trainer (CFT), and also holds a black belt in Shotokan Karate. Russ is a writer for Natural Muscle Magazine and has appeared in American Health and Fitness Magazine, Men’s Fitness Magazine, Ironman Magazine, and Natural Bodybuilding and Fitness Magazine. He is also the author of Russ Yeager’s Complete Physique Training DVD, which has instructed and motivated men and women across the United States and Internationally. Russ takes a comprehensive approach to personal fitness and stresses the importance of nutrition, consistency, and motivation in addition to regular exercise. He feels that these three factors are the missing pieces of the puzzle that prevent most individuals from achieving their health and fitness goals. RANDY WARREN, MSED, ATC\L, CSCS, IBNFC NUTRITION CONSULTANT

Fitness Coach - Fitness Together Johns Creek
Nutrition Consultant

Randy has over eleven years of experience with professional, collegiate and high school sports teams. He has recently come to Fitness Together after spending six years at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), where he was the Head Athletic Trainer for four of those years. As Head Athletic Trainer, he was responsible for the operation of FAU's sports medicine program .He also supervised and coordinated medical coverage of four full-time and six part-time certified athletic trainers. Randy has been a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer for nine years and NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist for seven years. Randy holds a Master of Education in Sports Medicine from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Randy specializes in sports specific strength and conditioning and injury rehabilitation. In addition to helping clients reach their health and fitness goals at Fitness Together, Randy works part-time for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Sports Medicine facilities throughout Metro Atlanta.

DAWN TOUSLEY, AFAA CPT, IBNFC NUTRITION CONSULTANT

Dawn’s passion for health and fitness began to develop at a very young age. With over 20 years of dance and cheerleading experience at a competitive level, her quest for personal fitness was inevitable. While attending a branch of the University of Virginia, Dawn’s studies were focused toward Physical Therapy. Shortly after college, she was the first mom to make the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleading Squad when her son was just 8 months old. Her commitment to get her body back into shape after pregnancy initiated the desire to become a Personal Trainer. Along with her certifications through AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) and kickboxing, Dawn has conducted numerous Boot Camp fitness sessions and has instructed several clients through “in home” training. She is continuously dedicated to learn more about the most current training techniques to help make her workouts as fun and inspiring as possible. Dawn believes that core strengthening and flexibility are two of the most important goals to achieve while training and a positive mental attitude is the #1 force behind any goal!

THOMAS DASTA

ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer, IBNFC Nutrition Consultant - Johns Creek

Thomas grew up in Gainesville, Florida and graduated from the University of Florida with a BS in Exercise and Sports Science.  Soon after graduating from college, he became an ISSA certified personal trainer.

Thomas grew up a skinny kid all the way through high school.  His freshman year in college, his nickname was "Bones" because he was so skinny.  Weighing only 128 pounds at age 19, Thomas decided to start lifting weights first to increase self-confidence.  He loved the way working out made him feel and look.  After a little over two years, Thomas had increased his weight to 200 pounds of solid muscle naturally.

Thomas has competed in six bodybuilding contests and has done very well.  Fitness has enhanced all aspects of Thomas' life and has given him tremendous self-confidence.  He believes that working out and living a healthy lifestyle is the true fountain of youth.  Thomas truly wants to spread his passion for fitness to everyone he can and this really shows when he works with his clients!

MISTY SCHOENTHAL, BS KINESIOLOGY

Fitness Coach - Fitness Together - Johns Creek

Still new to Atlanta -and to Georgia for that matter- Misty finally has found the job she has always been hoping for. A job that makes a difference and that she loves to go to every day! Misty graduated with a BS in Kinesiology in August of 2006 and immediately moved from Texas to Georgia. Misty was a soccer player all her life, so she has both book and personal knowledge and experience to draw from. She played four years of Division I college soccer as she acquired her degree. She has worked with all levels of fitness, including elite athletes to severely obese individuals who have never worked out a day in their lives. While the training program for different clients may vary greatly, Misty’s focus remains the same: “baby steps and small attainable goals”. Misty has the unique ability to make clients comfortable and feel great about themselves while they reach their goals regardless of where they started. Misty’s clients also enjoy the increasing momentum as they begin to see results. She tells them that “Weight loss is just like losing credit card debt. SNOWBALL EFFECT!” (for you Dave Ramsey fans!)

JONATHAN MCCLELLAN, NSCA-CPT, USAW-L1SP

Fitness Coach - Johns Creek

Jonathan is a Fitness Together veteran, bringing 5 years of FT experience to the team. He graduated from Covenant College in 2006 with a B.S. in psychology. He is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the National Strength and Condition Association. Jonathan is also a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting.

Jonathan’s interest in health and fitness began at an early age as he was diagnosed with asthma. Jonathan overcame this adversity and in high school received All-Region Honors in both football and basketball. After high school, Jonathan had the privilege of continuing his athletic career at Covenant College where he received a basketball scholarship.

At Covenant, Jonathan lettered four years on top of scoring over 1,000 points in his collegiate career. Jonathan received All-Conference Honors in his freshman and senior seasons as well.

Jonathan’s approach to fitness and health centers on improving one’s ability to function thus improving one’s quality of life. While at Fitness Together, Jonathan has worked with a wide variety of individuals ranging in age from 9 to 90. Jonathan loves people and enjoys encouraging others. This paired with his hard work and attention to detail has brought him and his clients great success.

Jonathan feels that the Lord has blessed him with a unique ability to relate and encourage individuals in relation to health and wellness. He feels honored to work at Fitness Together.
