Sherry Nicely, NASM Certified Personal Trainer

After spending over 15 years working as Government Sub-Contractor Accounting Manager and never feeling fulfilled I realized it was time for a change and decided to pursue my passion for fitness. I’ve always been physically active and considered working out to be my “sport”. After sitting behind a desk for over 9 hours a day I knew firsthand how proper health and nutrition made a positive effect on my life. I want to share this with others so they too could achieve their own personal health, fitness and nutrition goals. Becoming a Certified Personal Trainer has enabled me to share my passion with others and help them realize their fitness goals.
Fernanda Winchester, MS Exercise Physiologist
Assistant Manager / Lead Trainer
You can expect a fun and effective exercise program from Fernanda. She holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in kinesiology and exercise physiology and is in the process of becoming an ACE certified Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant. In addition, she is a guest speaker for the Potomac Hospital diabetes and heart health support groups.
Health and wellness have always been her passion, and as a figure competitor, she knows what takes to lead a fit lifestyle. "I admit that incorporating fitness into a hectic schedule has not been easy for me, but I have learned that finding time for health will only save me time and money in the long run by preventing diseases. I enjoy hiking and playing volleyball, and I have noticed great improvement on my volleyball abilities after I began strength training regularly".
Fernanda has a special interest in weight loss, chronic illnesses (diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, etc), muscle toning, figure competition preparation, and fall prevention. She will guide you on proper exercise to help you see results while preventing injury. Let her show you how a well designed exercise and nutrition program can reshape your body, improve your energy level, and enhance your confidence. Together, we will take one step at a time to overcome barriers and achieve your ultimate goals.
Keri Roberts, ACE Certified Personal Trainer
Lead Trainer
Keri, originally a New Jersey native, graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. She has been dancing since the age of 7, with training in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop as well as modern dance and has been teaching since the age of 16 for students ranging from 2 to adult. She has performed and choreographed for the GMU dance company and has interned with the Paul Taylor Dance Company in New York. While in college, Keri fell in love with fitness and realized how important it was to her being a strong, healthy, energetic dancer. She is now a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as well as a Certified Aerobics Instructor through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). She works as a dance instructor for two studios and as a morning trainer here at Fitness Together. She incorporates all elements of fitness into her training sessions, especially those that focus on alignment, coordination, and fun!

Hey Crime Stoppers! My name is Mike Blackwell…Yes “THE” Mike Blackwell. I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Consultant with the National Personal Training Institute. I am also a level one certified CrossFit coach since October of 2008 and I’ve been CrossFitting for almost two years. I’ve been involved in athletics my whole life, soccer, baseball, swimming and diving, martial arts; you name it I’ve done it. I spent close to five years as a Black belt instructor of Tae Kwon Do at Andrew Gause Martial Arts in Springfield. My goals in life are to Coach, Motivate and inspire anyone who wants to become better than they are. I hope that I can help you improve yourself not only in your fitness goals but in life in general.
