David Diaz
Owner / President / Trainer

He has been involved in changing lives since he started coaching in his teens, after college he taught inner-city students at MLK Middle School and Denver North High. At NHS he was the head baseball coach and in his tenure his teams had 4 winning seasons, qualified for post season 3 times, and produced 6 college athletes and two professional athletes. David uses an educated, nurturing yet stern approach with all his clients.
His accomplishments include running multiple consecutive 5:00 minute miles, hitting 90+ mph fastballs, earning numerous college athletic scholarships, bench pressing 300lbs. He most recently did his first half Ironman and will run in The Boston Marathon 2012.
He has received certifications from ISSA, FFLFC and Bigger, Faster Stronger.
Anthony Nakamura

A Denver native, Anthony has been with FT- Denver for almost 5 years now. He grew up fairly overweight and very unhealthy. In 2002 he began to train in martial arts, which completely changed his life. Since then he has lost 35 lbs., earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, won numerous state karate competitions and was invited to China to train under Jet Li and Jackie Chan’s martial arts coach. He is currently training in Chinese Kung-Fu and Wushu under Shifu(teacher) Jerry Silva at National Martial Arts Academy and is a member of their stunt performance team.
He also will begin competing nationally in Wushu/Kung-fu in March of 2008, and may return to Beijing this summer to take part in a pre-Olympic demonstration of Chinese wushu.
Anthony loves the atmosphere that FT- Denver provides because it gives him the ability to focus on each client individually. In his four years here he has helped people of all sizes and ages move toward and reach their fitness goals. Anthony thrives off the opportunity to change his clients’ lives just as he changed his own. He has been with FT Denver since 2005 and loves having the creative freedom to keep his clients motivated and exited about exercise.

Matt Diaz

A Colorado Native, by way of Pueblo, Matt Diaz has a highly enthusiastic outlook on life and the pursuit of life goals. With a technical background and degree, one of Matt’s life long passions has been participating and excelling in competitive athletics. Growing up in almost every sport imaginable, Matt has achieved many state awards and honors along the way. Matt’s sports of preference include football, wrestling, running and baseball. Matt has 3 State Championship titles in the sport of baseball and has competed at the collegiate level at Colorado School of Mines.
As a world traveler, entrepreneur and personal development enthusiast, Matt is an advocate of chasing your dreams and personal goals. Whether it’s in the area of health and fitness, family and home, spiritual and ethical, educational and mental, social and cultural and/or financial and business, Matt is continuously improving each area of his life.With an unlitmate goal of living to be well over 100 years old, Matt is excited to work with other individuals looking to iomprove their lifestyles. So whatever your health and fitness goals, Matt will help show you the perspective it takes not only to obtain those goals, but most importantly how to maintain and continuously improve via your success!Matt holds his certification from FFLFC.

Julie Tubbesing
Evening Trainer
In her prior occupation Julie was a Regional Manager for a coffee, chocolate, and ice cream chain. She has worked at a high-intensity, strength training facility, and she strongly believes in incorporating weight lifting into her programs. Although she thinks working out should be a necessity for everyone, she also feels it should be as enjoyable as possible by using many different workout regimens. She is passionate about living an active and healthy lifestyle. She enjoys running, mountain biking, snowboarding, and climbing. She encourages you to make it fun too and to make exercise a lifestyle. Julie has her BA from The University of Missouri and certified through FTFC. She is currently studying to become certified via ACE as well.

Ryan Drinkwater
Evening Trainer
Ryan brings years of experience in the athletic field as well as the knowledge and training behind exersie science. He played collegiate football for Valley City State University. While at VCSU, he earned a conference championship and was named 1st Team All Conference for the 2005-2006 season. While studying at VCSU, Ryan earned his BS in exercise science. This game him a great knowledge in exercise science and health.
After college, Ryan continued his career playing two seasons with the Colorado Ice Indoor Football team. Throughout his college and professional career, Ryan has trained fellow football players as well as friends and family. Because of all of his experience in the athletic field, Ryan is up to date with the latest exercises and routines to optimize workouts.
Clare Anderson
Evening Trainer
Clare is a new addition to the world of personal training, but she is certainly not new to the world of fitness! For six years she was a competitive rower on a crew team in Baltimore, where she is from, and on the varsity lightweight team at Ithaca College in NY.
Following her rowing years she picked up yoga and soon after rock climbing, which is now her passion. She stresses flexibility as well as core work to improve balance and strength. As an athlete, Clare understands the foundation and importance of maintaining a balanced and fit lifestyle.
She believes that everybody, whether you are new to fitness or not, has room to grow stronger!
Clare has her certification thru the American CouncIl of Exercise (ACE).
