I’ve been a runner for many years and have been in very good cardio-vascular shape. However, I noticed that when doing work in the yard or in the barn, the bags of topsoil and the pieces of lumber that I lifted were all getting “heavier.”

I resolved to do something about it. I’ve never really been comfortable going to a membership gym to lift weights. I always was a bit intimidated about using the equipment properly. 2.5 years ago, my wife and I both decided to join Fitness Together. We’ve been happy, regular clients ever since. Johnny, my trainer, quickly keyed in to my goals and developed a program to help me achieve them. He learned how and when to push me and how to keep me focused on results. I look forward to my twice weekly workouts with Johnny’s personal attention and his sense of humor. 

 Those bags of topsoil are a lot lighter these days! When I bruised my rotator cuff in a 2007 skiing accident, Johnny modified my workout routine to provide the appropriate exercis­es to heal from this painful injury. My rotator cuff is now “back” 100%. After years of paying school tuition for our kids, we decided it was time to do something for ourselves by joining Fitness Together and it’s paid great dividends. Dear, Jason, Ken and Kristy in Lincoln!

I can't begin to express the gratitude I have toward you and your team at FT (Lincoln) for the fantastic  results you have assisted me in achieving,  I have struggled with weight issues for most of my adult life.  Once I hit 40, the struggle became even harder and I began accepting the fact that I was losing the weight loss battle.

I saw FT advertisements and mailers but ignored them until April of this year when I finally dragged myself out of the house and over to the fitness studio in Lincoln to meet with Jason and his team.  After only several minutes with Jason, did I feel a tremendous level of trust and confidence that my fitness goals are as important to Jason as they are to me.  This confidence helped to renew my enthusiasm and dedication toward my new fitness goals.

I have never come close to the results that am experiencing from the short time that I've been working with my trainer, Ken in Lincoln.  I joined FT at the end of April 2008 and have lost 40 pounds in 3 months and reduced my body fat 10%.  Most importantly, I can run and play with my two young children for hours without my boody giving out.  That's the most rewarding factor. Of course the "Vinny, you look great"! comments haven't hurt either!

Again, thank you Jason, Ken and Kristy.  My only regret is that I didn't take advantage of your services sooner. I look forward to even more challenging and rewarding fitness sessions for years to come!

Dear Fitness Together, It takes me a long time to make a change, even when I know it’s in my best interest. However, when I’m ready, I’m ready. In late Sept. 2007, I was ready to get in shape. I had saved a mail offer from Fitness Together (FT) and called to find out more about the program. My conversation with Jason Hartz quickly led to an appointment.

Within a few days, I was assessed, had a great training session with Johnny, and just like that – I signed up - I knew this friendly, supportive studio was for me. Here it is 4 months later; I’m 30 pounds lighter and feel stronger and better than I have in years. FT is definitely the gym for me. My trainers (Johnny, Kristy, Tim Frank and Cassie) are wonderful. Their support and encouragement are keys to my successful results. I’m confident that their instruction will be correct and keep me safe. They push me all the time, and create interesting, informative sessions. In addition to enjoyable training sessions, I have become a fan of the cardio machines. I joined the Cardio Club in December and earned enough points to receive a free training session. I have changed when and what I eat as the result of the tips my trainers provide.

Anyone who knows me will be surprised to see me giving a testimonial about a fitness facility. I associated fitness facilities with over-striving, self torture, and grinding boredom, judging them to be un-natural and a misuse of money and time.

I came to Fitness Together after a hasty reading of a promotion which offered a free session with a personal trainer. "Maybe," I thought, "it would be preventative and more economical in the end to have a skilled trainer guide me?" After connecting with Jason, he won over my cynical side and I agreed to sign up for 3 months, going 2 times a week. I was quite sure that after 3 months I woud be saying "sayonara", that there would be little change in my body (which didn't really need to lose weight), and that I would be bored and resentful of the time commitment.

Well, is my face red! First of all, I am enjoying my sessions at FT enormously. I appreciate the privacy and the respect given to my aga and capabilities. My trainer Derek, is a fine knowledgeable young man who brings fun, lightness and encouragement to our sessions. He constantly switches it up so that I'm never bored and my muscles thrive on being challenged.

I feel stronger, more confident in my body, and have much more energy. (At the age of 65, I assumed it was downhill from here.) The other day, while walking in the woods, I suddenly had the desire to run! I did so for 15 minutes, over roots and uneven paths! I experienced new-found confidence in my legs. I am also enjoying my new found upper body strength. I get more pleasure out of my yoga and swimming. My contours are noticeably different and I look better in my clothes. Also, my heart rate has decreased about 20 beats per minute. Now I understand the meaning and experience of Fitness Together and I see that I am not too old to improve my body, and feel good and energetic.

I joined FT at the end of November, 2008.  The reason I joined was because I had reached a plateau in my weight loss odysey.  I was able to lose over 120 pound on my own.  I reached a point where  I know I deserved better than working out in my basement alone.  I also needed to shake things up a bit.

After my initial evaluation, I was assigned a trainer. After the frist few sessions I set some personal goals for myself.  I never realized how unbalanced my muscles were and un-coordinated I was .  Working with a trainer made me realize that I was working out incorrectly for a long time and was thankful I never injured myself.

My trainer, Cassie has been my trainer from the begining. There are no words to express how much she has helped me change physically and emotionally.  Every session is at least a "2 bottle work out."  Cassie has used her knowledge, patience and passion for training to assist me in losing an addtional 12 pounds.  I now am able to step up and down on a bench and do 20 plus push ups, and my confidence has increased ten fold. I look forward to every session that I have with her.

I would HIGHLY recommend FT and Cassie to anyone who has a fitness goal.

As my husband and I approached our 50’s earlier this year, we realized that despite thinking we were quite active (we hike and ski), we were not as fit as we thought.  The pounds were finding their way onto our bodies as well.  We decided to take a chance on FT and make a significant change in our daily routines.

The big advantage we have found with FT is that we make an effort to keep our appointments and thus gain the benefit of sustained commitment to fitness and weight loss.  In the last 6 months we have lost 15 pounds, exceeding our initial goals.  We also have found ourselves needing new clothes as our waistlines have shrunk!

We have also enrolled our teenage son at FT. We felt he could benefit from increasing his fitness level and adding more upper body strength.  Now we all enjoy a  friendly rivalry about who’s session was tougher! 

We’d like to thank Jason and the FT staff at the Littleton location for getting us back in shape.  The trainers are  friendly and encouraging.  We all look forward to our sessions.
