Mike Oakes

Owner/Fitness Professional

Mike was certified by NSCA (National Strength & Conditioning Academy) and is currently getting certified as a strength and condition specialist. Mike is a purest, he believes that with hard work, and nutrition results can be obtained. There is no easy way, no quick fix, no 90 day class that can give you long term sustainable results. Mike Is also an instructor at the Professional Fitness Institute in Las Vegas Nevada, where he trains and mentors new trainers and hopeful trainers. Mike was also a wrestling coach for Westspringfield highschool for 8 years and a volunteer coach at the middle school during the same time. Mike, to his credit, was an undefeated Mixed Martial Arts expert as well.

Johnny Kuettner

Manager/ Fitness Professional

B.S. Framingham State University. ISSA EliteTrainer; ISSA Specialist Sports Conditioning, ISSA Specialist Post Rehabilitative Exercise, ISSA Specialist Fitness Older Adults, ISSA Youth Fitness Trainer. Johnny enjoys working with all populations in helping them achieve their fitness goals. Johnny brings over 10 years of experience to training, bringing a well-rounded approach, working with client's of all levels. Johnny's philosophy involves equal importance in strength/resistance training, cardio endurance and healthy eating. The most rewarding aspect of the job is seeing client's hard work pay off and making fitness part of their daily routine.

Johnny played on the Framingham State University Football team as a Defensive Back all four years and was named to the New England Football Conference All Academic Team all four years. Johnny won the prestigous Scholar Athlete Award his senior year. Outside of working out, Johnny enjoys spending time with his wife Anh, daughter Asia, and two dachshunds Frank and Coco.

Tyler Smith

Fitness Professional

B.S. Exercise Physiology with a Minor of Nutrition- UMASS Lowell

NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

 

  Tyler enjoys working with a diverse clientele of all ages. He believes that exercise shouldn’t be a chore; and wants to make it fun and something to look forward to. He likes to incorporate cardio as well as strength training into his program designs because they are both equally important. Tyler can accommodate your program to meet your goals and can work with injuries or limitations.   Tyler personally knows how it feels to be out of shape and out of touch with fitness: in 2006, he lost 40 pounds from running and changing his diet. This is when Tyler realized that exercise was going to be a part of his everyday life. He decided to pursue a career in fitness training and loves every minute of it! Tyler enjoys movies and music and he is also a big Boston sports fan: Celtics, Bruins, Red Sox and especially, Patriots.

Patrick Obounou

Fitness Professional

ISSA Certified Personal Trainer. Patrick brings a creative approach to training; specializing in functional fitness and flexibility. Before Patrick came to Fitness Together, Concord he trained at the Boston Sports, Waltham. Prior to personal training, Patrick was a professional basketball player for 6 years in Europe. He turned pro at 17, playing in Germany for 3 years then France for 3. He met his wife Rebecca while she was studying in France then moved to the Boston area. Since moving here, Patrick has decided to give the NBA a try and has been invited to try out for the NBA Developmental League.

Nate Cavicchi

Fitness Professional

B.S. Exercise Physiology and Minor in Nutrition – UMASS Lowell, NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Nate works with a very diverse clientele, ranging from middle school children all the way up to the general adult population of all ages.  The son of a high school basketball coach, Nate has been involved with athletics and fitness since he was young; participating in a variety of sports including Basketball, Football, Baseball and Track/Cross Country.  Nate enjoys incorporating all aspects of fitness into his programs.  Nate can work around any limitation or injury that one may have, and will help you reach your fitness goals in the most efficient way possible.

To go along with his personal training experience, Nate also works in the strength and conditioning field.  Nate is equipped to train athletes in any sport, with the goal of maximizing their in game performance; Nate has done work with athletes ranging from middle school, high school, and has also helped in training the NCAA Division 1 Umass-Lowell Hockey Team.

David Charbonneau

David Charbonneau M.S. in Kinesiology - University of Maryland, College Park B.S. in Exercise Science - Skidmore College ACSM certified Health Fitness Specialist Fitness Together - Concord David Charbonneau enjoys helping people of all fitness levels learn to enjoy exercise and reach their personal fitness goals. He believes that exercise is not only important for physhical health but also provides emotional and psychological benefits including the feeling of empowerment and stress release.
