Age is only a Number!
Today is a celebratory day. I just purchased a pair of size 8 skinny jeans (used to be a size 14). Also, in September when I began Fitness Together, my husband and I walked the circle in our neighborhood. Troy told me about NIKE GPS, and I began my distance and time last week. On Thursday, I RAN (running for me, that is) the circle in 10.7 and today, Saturday, I ran that distance in 8.9. I am... so proud of myself, and I thank Troy for always pushing me to succeed. I have lost 15 pounds, 5 inches around my middle, and I have lost 6% body fat. This comes after not feeling so well after the second workout. This is the story of a "Baby Boomer" who never exercised a day in her life until this past September. Going to Fitness Together three days a week, walking/running on the other days, and eating well are true challenges. What helps also is having Troy look at my weekly food journal and discuss my successes and shortcomings, and I have had food shortcomings!!! I have 10 more pounds to lose, since I understand that this phase is even more difficult But now I am looking forward to the challenge. Thanks for reading this and being my support.

When I decided to return to NC for an extended vacation to visit my family, I was concerned initially with the interruption of my regular fitness routine. I live in Oklahoma and frequent the Fitness Together there. When I discovered that there was Fitness Together in Cary, my concerns were assuaged. The FT Trainers picked up where my Oklahoma trainers left off and my transition was seamless. They challenged me in my workouts, while being supportive and encouraging.
Most people would dread working out while on vacation, but truly looked forward to every session. This has been a wonderful experience.
