Brian Mclellan

General Manager

Brian has always been involved in athletics even since he was able to walk.  Brian was a three sport athlete at King Philip Regional HS in Wrentham, MA playing football, basketball, and baseball.  Brian continued to play football through college and was named All-Conference honors his senior year at Springfield College.  After college Brian lived in Arizona for about 3 years before he moved back closer to friends and family.  Brian is always looking for new challenges and enjoys helping others reach their full potential.

Norman Rousseau

Owner-Cambridge

Before opening Fitness Together Cambridge in 2004, Norm worked as a research scientist at Millennium Pharmaceuticals.  Opening an FT in Cambridge meant he was able to bring the best in personalized fitness and nutrition training to his clients and to create opportunities for his trainers to do their best work and grow their careers.

Widely sought after as a fitness coach and consultant, Norm has worked with hundreds of clients and helped them reach their goals.  Norm has been certified as a Senior Trainer with John Davies of Renegade Training and as a nutritional consultant through Dr. Jane Pentz.  He is a mentor with the Men's Health Team of the Cambridge Department of Public Health, and is an instructor of personal trainers with the International Sports and Fitness Training Association.  He has also been an instructor of fitness and nutrition at the Boston Center for Adult Education. 

Norm's clients while working at FT have included: Boston Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, The Spark Center, Cambridge Police Department, Cambridge Department of Public Health, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Cross Country TravCorps. and the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. 

Lina McConnell

Fitness Professional-Cambridge

Lina holds a Bachelor degree in International Law and Diplomacy and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the ISSA and a Certified Group Exercise Instructor through AFAA. She grew up in Russia and studied ballet since the age of 7. She has taught a diverse amount of group fitness classes, such as, Total Body Conditioning, Body Pump, and fitness yoga. Lina was also a choreographer and dance instructor for various jazz, belly dancing, Latin, and hip-hop dance classes. Her interest in personal training came when she noticed that many clients needed more personal attention with their fitness programs. Lina’s unique experience will help anyone achieve their goals, whether it is fat loss, athletic performance, posture, or flexibility.

Matt DiGennaro

Assistant Manager-Cambridge

Matt has over 15 years of experience and his Master's degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with a concentration in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention. He was the Massachusetts State Director for the NSCA from 2004-2007 where he was involved with providing continuing education programs for professionals and developing college level internship programs in exercise science and athletic performance.

His experience also includes event planning and promotion, such as, running and walking races, and health fairs. Matt is currently developing seminars for various wellness programs and commercial fitness centers. He is also helping with local education initiatives to get schools to integrate proper physical education into their existing curriculum.

Matt’s current certifications and advanced specializations include:

• NASM - PES (Performance Enhancement Specialist)

• NSCA - CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist)

• ACSM - HFS (Certified Health/Fitness Specialist)
