Rick Coe

Owner

As a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and former Army officer, Rick understands the value of teamwork, commitment, and perseverance in delivering results. Years of experience in private industry have also provided Rick a deep understanding of the service quality necessary to build customer loyalty. Rick brings these lessons together at Fitness Together in order to create a successful environment for anyone serious about living a healthy and active lifestyle. The Fitness Together program is guaranteed to make a difference in the way you look and feel. My Health Story Fitness has been a part of my life since I was in high school. However, six years ago I began to gradually slide into a sedentary place many others find themselves in today. In 2004, I was promoted in my job, relocated to Maryland, and celebrated the birth of my second child only a few months apart. With a high stress job and a very active house, I began making excuses for not exercising. Over the next year, eating out became the norm and my wife and I added a third child to our family. Slowly, my health was deteriorating. In 2006, I took a physical and was shocked at the results! In very short order, my cholesterol level had risen 40 points and my resting heart rate had risen 10 beats per minute. I didn’t need a doctor, however, to tell me something was wrong. By that time, I was also having trouble buttoning my pants as well as difficulty sleeping through the night. I needed to make a change. So, I took stock of my situation and dumped all the negative influences in my life. I committed to regaining control of my future both personally and professionally by becoming part of this great fitness franchise. In doing so, I am better able to provide an enjoyable lifestyle for myself and my family. To be sure, I’m not asking for you to turn your life upside down to feel as great as I do today. I am only asking for you to commit to 45 minutes, 3 days a week with my one of trainers. Our fitness program will change your life.

Stacy Adams

General Manager

Stacy is a certified personal trainer and nutrition consultant who has been in the industry for 8 years. The last four of these years have been spent helping clients at Fitness Together achieve their personal goals. Athletics have been a part of Stacy's life since her early youth. She grew up playing a wide array of sports, but eventually found her love in the game of soccer. Soccer, along with her academic achievements, helped pay her way through college as a Division 1 scholar athlete. After various injuries that put her on the sidelines, she found herself intrigued by the body's ability to recover and rebuild through proper exercise techniques and nutrition. This is when she decided to pursue a career in fitness/nutrition, obtaining her BS in Exercise Science and graduating with honors at the top of her class. Stacy has a unique ability to apply her intricate knowledge of the human body to help enhance our clients’ fitness and weight loss goals. In her free time, she keeps herself active by working out daily, boxing, running, and enjoying the outdoors with her friends, family, and dog! Stacy has a true passion for helping others achieve their goals.

Nick Sawaya

Lead Fitness Coach

Nick began his career in the fitness industry in Summer 2009 when, while studying for his Master of Environmental Science degree, he earned certifications both as a personal fitness coach and group kickboxing instructor at Lund University’s Gerdahallen, Sweden’s largest and most cutting edge fitness facility.

Upon completing his Master’s studies, and having worked at Gerdahallen for two years, he moved back to his native Virginia in August 2011. Having divided the previous two years of his life between the library and the gym, he decided his true passion lay in the latter, and so his search for employment led him to Fitness Together Bethesda.

Having grown up extremely overweight, beginning his college career in Boston at well over three hundred pounds, Nick finally decided to make a lifestyle change his freshman year of 2003 (losing over one hundred and twenty pounds in the process), and has never looked back. These personal challenges and successes later translated into a desire to help others achieve their own health, fitness and lifestyle goals. As such he has remained committed to giving one hundred percent to his clients, and expecting the same in return.

In addition, Nick is continually looking to expand his knowledge base, and since moving back Stateside has earned certificates as both a Kettlebell Athletics Coach, and Certified Personal Trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, in order to provide an increasingly challenging, diverse, motivating, and effective level of service.

Calvin Ogden

Fitness Coach

I have been providing health and fitness instruction in the DC Metropolitan area for six years.  I received my education at Morgan State University in Baltimore Maryland and received my certification through National Academy of Sports and Medicine. In my free time, I volunteer as a high school football coach in Montgomery County.

Providing health and fitness is very rewarding. It is not just a job for me; it’s a passion. I love finding new exercises, challenging poses and movements, and basically any tool of education to further my fitness knowledge.
