As a kid, I wouldn’t have considered myself very athletic.  I did Ballet 5 times per week, but it still took me 14 minutes to run a mile.  In high school, I was told that I had more than one overuse injury that forced me to give up dance all together.  I was heartbroken, but this is when I picked up tennis.  By senior year, I was captain of my team, which really motivated me to push myself physically.  I felt great, until I went off to college, where, even though I was playing tennis with the team, I gained what seemed to be an inevitable 20 pounds.  Feeling like I had lost control, I began running on the treadmill and became a chronic crash dieter.  For two years, I tried everything from Atkins to Cabbage Soup diets.  Nothing was working, and I felt worse than ever.  When I finally joined a gym and began taking my nutrition seriously, that’s when I started to see results. Ever since I began eating right and exercising, the weight has stayed off. I feel great, and last March I ran my first 5k in 25 minutes!

Favorite Workout: I love the TRX, and I am always looking up new moves to try on it. I also enjoy Spinning and occasionally, Crossfit workouts.  My favorite strength training exercise is a Push Press.

Little known fact about me: I always carry fruit in my purse

Training Philosophy: Strong is the new skinny.

I knew personal training was for me when: Friends started coming to me for nutrition and exercise advice.  I loved that I was able to help them, and I was eager to learn more. That led me to enroll at NPTI, where for the first time ever, I couldn’t wait to wake up and go to school every day.

Why I love this studio: I love Fitness Together because I am able to spend one-on-one time with my clients, and see the progress being made.  I am equally as excited as you are when we start to see results!

Personal Motto:  Never say never.

I am a very active person and love pushing my body to its limits.  I am a life long snowboarder, I have surfed for many years, I played football for 2 years at the college level, and enjoy playing pick up games; whether it is something as demanding as basketball or laid back like softball.  I just like being busy!  My active lifestyle triggered my interested in fitness because being stronger and more conditioned helps me perform better in all aspects of my life.

Favorite workout: I love anything that gets my heart going and my adrenaline pumping.

Little known fact about me: I like to draw.  I like being able t o see a blank piece of paper form life; it is also a nice change of pace from my fast paced life.

My training philosophy: The harder you work, the better your rewards are.

I knew personal training was for me when: I was back in high school and al my fellow teammates from the early morning lifting program would ask me for advice to help them better their own workouts.

Why I love this studio: I love to know my clients are there to work with me as hard as I am willing to work with them to achieve success.

Personal Motto: Work harder, relax better.
